Some portraits don’t need perfect posing or dramatic locations.
Sometimes a genuine smile, warm evening light and a quiet moment are enough to tell a story.
Captured during beautiful days on Mallorca.
Well, seems that watching through the window may be an uneasy game, as evidenced by the Tiny's face. I don't know what she saw, but it must have been a heck of a scene because the next thing I saw while still watching through the viewfinder of my camera was her re... rea.... um reaction. Well, you'll have to be patient a little longer and see for yourselves... :)
Cheers!

A meeting of textures spotted at my feet. A small decaying brown leaf lays upon beige-colored pebbles. The two make a lovely warm-toned image with its shades of light and dark browns.

as the sun bows behind the rooftops of madrid, the gods rise in silence. golden domes and chariots catch the light, their silhouettes suspended in time above the hum of the city. below, life moves on - but up here, history still lingers in the glow.
captured through the café window in berlin mitte, this image reveals a young man immersed in his own thoughts, separated from the bustling world outside. the warm reflections and soft colors of the café atmosphere evoke a sense of calm and introspection, as if he’s momentarily detached from his surroundings. the glass creates a quiet barrier between observer and observed, between outside and inside, while the light gently highlights the contours of his face and hand. this moment of silent reflection tells a small, personal story amidst the big city, as if the world around him has paused for just a second.

Lough Ennel from earlier this year, this time a scan from the print. A heavy mist clearing over the lake as the sun tries to break through. The image was made on Fuji Acros 100 and the print was made on Ilford Multigrade Warmtone fibre. Print finishing included a light sepia tone.

I found this flower lying broken on the ground and brought it home, hoping to give it a little more life. I cared for it, gave it water, and watched it slowly dry or perhaps simply age in its own quiet way.
Even as it faded, it never truly lost its colour. It held on to a soft brightness, as if being seen and cared for was enough to keep something within it alive.
People are much the same. Our bodies change, our strength shifts, and time moves through us whether we wish it or not. Yet when we have someone to shine for, we do not lose our colour.
And even with all the nourishment and love in the world, our time here is still finite, just as it was for this delicate flower.
Growing old is not a diminishing, but a gentle truth: that what is luminous in us can remain, even as everything else slowly transforms.

Another crazy and insane day in the office. By the time lunch hour rolled around and it was time to venture off to my French class I still hadn't made too much of a dent in the work load.
Oh well, I guess that means tomorrow will be just as busy and go by just as quickly. That's not necessarily a bad thing, if you ask me.
On my way to French I stopped in the park to shoot a few photos as I'd brought my camera with me. I'm not entirely sure why I like the one I've chosen as today's main image as much as I do, but there's something about it that stands out to me.
I'm also including a bonus photo in the comments, because I'm impressed with how close I managed to get to the squirrel. Please keep in mind that I was shooting with my 40mm today since I didn't feel up to lugging my 300mm with me. This was one calm squirrel.
Hope everyone has had a good day.
