Print on Ilford MGRC warmtone (gloss). A straight darkroom print which was first carbon toned but that had little effect on this paper so tea stained the print . Print from neg shot on Leica IIIf +90mm apo lanther. Blackpool central pier. Printed circa 2016 probably shot circa 2012

I have always been so impressed with the lenses that Pentax made for their 6x7 cameras. I love em. So naturally one day I set all of them aside, got my hands on some primitive, single-element plastic optics, mashed them onto the front of my Pentax 67 and went out to play.

Ramana Maharshi (30 December 1879 – 14 April 1950) was a Hindu sage and jivanmukta. He was born Venkataraman Iyer, but is most commonly known by the name Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
He was born in what is now Tiruchuli, Tamil Nadu, India. In 1895, an attraction to the holy hill Arunachala and the 63 Nayanars was aroused in him, and in 1896, at the age of 16, he had a "death-experience" where he became aware of a "current" or "force" (avesam) which he recognised as his true "I" or "self", which he later identified with Ishvara. This resulted in a state that he later described as "the state of mind of Iswara or the jnani". Six weeks later he left his uncle's home in Madurai, and journeyed to the holy mountain Arunachala, Tiruvannamalai, where he took on the role of a sannyasin (though not formally initiated), and remained for the rest of his life.
He soon attracted devotees who regarded him as an avatar and came to him for darshan ("the sight of God"), and in later years an ashram grew up around him, where visitors received upadesa ("spiritual instruction") by sitting silently in his company and raising their concerns and questions. Since the 1930s his teachings have been popularised in the West, resulting in worldwide recognition as an enlightened being.
Ramana Maharshi approved to a number of paths and practices, but recommended self-enquiry as the principal means to remove ignorance and abide in Self-awareness, together with bhakti (devotion) or surrender to the Self. Source Wikipedia.

This ton of bricks hit me when I walked into the first barn (see what I did there?) on the tour. I'm assuming it's a pile of bricks salvaged from an old building.

In the intimacy of nature, a small flower seems to hold a sunset of its own. The dark background highlights the delicacy of its petals, while a warm halo of light illuminates the scene like a distant setting sun.

I was grateful that this image received an Honorable Mention from Susan Bernstein, who was the Juror for this years Plastic Fantastic Exhibition at the wonderful Lightbox Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.
Darkroom print of the previously uploaded negative with the white dot problem. Printed on Rollei Vintage RC 332 (my very last batch...) using Compard warm tone developer.
I have spent countless hours on this water, sailing and windsurfing. We would always stop here and get ourselves something to eat.
Darkroom print on vintage Agfa Brovira 112 semi-matt, developed in Adotol WA warm-tone, followed by ca 5 minutes selenium 1+19
Another Holga image called Shadows taken in Dun Laoghaire in some strong contrasty light, Film was Ilford HP5 developed in Id11, I have already made a dark moody print of this one on Ilford Multigrade warmtone fibre, a little darker than this neg scan.
This yellow beauty landed on a ground in the woods in central Florida, USA. I was able to quietly creep up on it and grap this shot before it took flight.
