Somewhere on my journey home from Florida I lost my wallet. It might
have been stolen as there is a strange gas station purchase that was
attempted after I had lost it. I ended up having to go to the DMV and
contacting both my banks for new cards. I snapped this photo while
waiting for my temporary drivers license at the DMV. I'm sure glad
that I do not need to sit in that chair.
My new handmade wallet.
This one is a really challenge in color matching.
At first I plan to use only 2 master colors : Purple and green.
But it's turn out so colorful. ^_^"
My latest handmade wallet.
This time I try to made it based on Marine Theme with scrapbook-like style.
The shiny surface of the front panel is from a decoupage glue that I coated the fabric.

‘As Loyalist Prisoners settled into the POW style Camp in Long Kesh in their spare time they would create various handicrafts. The most popular form of handicrafts was leatherwork. Wallets, purses, belts, handbags etc. would be produced on request and sent on to customers on the outside. Prisoners became very skilful and developed their skills producing some of the finest Leatherwork over the years.’

I got bored of my duct tape wallet, so I made myself a new one out of fabric this time. The plaid fabric is from a pair of shorts I found at a thrift store, and the pockets and lining are made from a canvas bag, also from said thrift store. My stitching skills leave something to be desired, but it's good enough for me.
Multiple credit card slots, 2 long pockets for money, and extra pockets for business cards, receipts, and whatever else you want to tuck in there. Snap closure. A large white and black button adds a little flair to this hard-working quilted wallet.
Can also be used alone as a clutch!
Dimensions:
approx. 4.5" tall and 8" wide when closed
11" x 8" when closed
Interfaced and double-stitched for strength and shape
Wallet made from scraps on high end denim jeans and scraps of leather.
You can see the denim line on the loop for the wallet chain.
Based on a wallet design by Zo.
I did make this wallet from the Quilted fabric wallet tutorial from "that darn kat". I did use fabrics from Heather Bailey's Freshcut line that I bought from the wonderful Etsy shop Starlitnest. I have also added a pic of the wallet inside. Great pattern and beautiful selection of fabrics made in the store!!!
