materials: printed card stock, a plain piece of paper, and a terribly romantic polaroid of my grandparents in their prime.
words: the combined efforts of my head and my heart.
Always I begin something new. At the moment I'm checking out dip nibs, ink, handlettering and all that stuff.
This Leipzig stamp is a phenomenon. It was stamped three days before the initial issue day. Don't understand how this could work.
should i give up?
should i just keep chasing pavement,
even if it leads nowhere?
would it be a waste,
if i knew my fate?
you invade my thoughts, my mind, my body.
i love the rush, it's like a drug.
i want to belong to you...
in a small, perhaps temporary, way
i already do.
We visited Plön and the Parnass Tower. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parnass_Tower) We had a great view over the moraine landscape of Holstein Switzerland.
After that we cycled to the Prinzeninsel, because I wanted to have a look if this would be a nice place to meet arttoday and indivisuell in Summer. Yes, it is! But you have to walk approx. 2-3 kilometers, because there is no road for cars. So I think it's a good place if the weather will be good.

The age of the compact music cassette is ending. In 2010 the production of mc's stopped in Germany. The label EUROPA won't distribute mc's any longer, excluding those for collectors. (The Three Investigators).
I stole the headline "Time to say Tschüß" from the wonderful Lassie Singers. Thank you.

Fot the next years I want to have some stamps for my illustrated diary pages. I like chinese stamps, so they should look a little bit similar. I'm not sure which ones I shall order. The stamps in the upper line or the ones in the lower line?
Pow, right in the kisser. Running is a really dangerous sport. ;-) I've had a swollen eye for a few days, because my glasses bumped my left eye and my lip has been bursted a little bit. Nothing serious.
Thanks again for the billet from www.feine-billetterie.de/ .;-)
Watercolors used with Havana Club instead of water (thank you for the tip, Ira Prussat!

“The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along.”

Video shows how I made the page.
I know a few, "sweetest girls" in my time. The harsh reality of life. On another note, I get many people who e-mail me or pm me saying wonderful things about my journal pages but then turn around and say, "I could never do that." To which I say, nonsense.
I am by no means a good illustrator. I draw what I want and journal whatever it is I am feeling that day, hour, minute. My muse is a fun person to play with and for her I end up doing crazy things (like painting) and at the end of the day the process is what matters. So, if you're on the fence about art journaling, I say why not give it a go? What is the worse thing that can happen?
A journal is just a way to express, relax, become. Don't be intimidated.
Sometimes I've got a very good acceleration time. A few days ago the cycleway was full of parking cars, so I changed to the street with my bike. A stupid cardriver honked the horn because he didn't like it to share the street with a cyclist. I've been in a consitant mood for the following action. The cardriver has to wait at the traffic light, and I picked up speed, stopped beside the car driver and told him some words which hasn't been very nice. ;-)
Sorry that I have to ruin my pictures with those ugly watermarks, but I found too many Screenshots of my pictures on tumblr or pinterest without links back to the original picture. I'm sick of it.
materials: printed card stock, a plain piece of paper, a polaroid taken from a photo album belonging to my grandmother, a highway cut from a map, and a train cut from a magazine.
words: lyrics from "transatlanticism," by death cab for cutie. like you didn't know that.
A journal page I did today. The left side was the cardboard backing of a camera from the dollar store that I attached to page tab. The cardboard page is smaller than the rest, so you can see the page underneath it peeking through.
I received two stamp albums from a nice colleague. They smelled very strong like cellar, so I removed all stamps from the album, put them in water with vinegar essence, let them dry and began to assort them. Felt like a nerd, because it took such a long time to find a useful system and bring together all my stamps in this system... now I understand why most stamp collectors are retirees. ;-)
