Created from a macro shot printed when my printer was bascially out of ink. Added a bit of micron pen and some "weathered wood" from an old ranger ink stamp pad.
some art journal pages from February 2013. Blogged about here: www.gingerblue.com/art-journals-late-february-2013/
For day 14 of "30 Days of Get Your Art On," I finished the journal page that I started yesterday. The writing that I did started with me being overwhelmed, to being my own cheerleader and setting a goal. I love how journaling works that way, changing your mood.
You can read all about my 30 Days of Get Your Art On here.

With the left over paint from working on a journal cover for day 16 of "30 Days of Get Your Art On," I put it down to start a new journal page. The first layer of red was applied with a credit card, then I put on the lavender with my hands. It felt great on my fingers and hands to do this. Then I used a baby wipe to scrub it around.
I must be getting old. I forgot that I had journaled going out to eat and wrote about it again. The next few pages are from an old Brownie scout book that I bound into my journal. I liked the activities, so I didn't cover the text over, just added to it.
200511: The dear @kaengeruine sent me a great package with watercolors. I didn't know this brand before and after this one picture I can't say conclusively how I like it. At first sight the colors seem to be vibrant and high pigmented. But anyway - for me, unpacking such watercolor pans is more fun than unpacking chocolates.

Just an experiment page with image transfering! I just got my Golden Gel Medium just recently, so I was going all sorts of crazy with it!

This book was included in the Visual Journals exhibition at Abecedarian Gallery in Denver Colorado in 2011.
I know it's not really the White Tree of Gondor, but that's totally what I'm calling the cover decoration.
I've been working on this layout for a few days now and finally got it finished tonight. Funny how sometimes it takes me days to finish what I've started, I just keep adding layers or waiting to see what other inspiration hits me. On my journalgirl yahoo group Kira gave us a prompt and we had to see what our goals were for the New Year, to really dig in deep and discover what your heart said. I only have one goal this year, to live my life for me and do the things I've always said I would do. My first goal is to get back into the University and work toward my visual arts/communication degree and then on to psychology and hopefully become an Art Therapist.
The first in what I hope will be a series this year of paintings/drawings taken from photos of our everyday life.
This was taken from a photo in 2006. Right before Halloween I made Halloween cookies with the girls and their American Girl dolls joined in. Maia's Kirsten doll is actually wearing a chef's hat, but I painted it purple. Our counters aren't purple either, but I've used my creative license here!
