I haven't journaled on it yet, but I know it's going to have that title.
Using techniques from Dina Wakely's Art Journaling 101 class
Thanks A-dab-adu for recommending that class! It was really fun!

When my mobile phone rang in the night I dind't answerd the phone. But after 5 minutes it went again, so I answered - it was my boyfriends neighbor who informed me that the firebrigade was fixed to break the door, because the smoke detector gave alarm. She told me that there were 3 fire engines, we had to come along immediately. Five minutes later we reached the house and could open the door. It didn't burn, just a nuisance alarm. What a terrible fright in the night!
Inspiration comes from so many people and places, but here's a list of my top 10 favs! In the envelope I tried to find something that resembled each of the people / places on my list. I could go on for days about each of them
This spread was a mess. I started out wanting to do something totally different. I tried to do an image transfer on the left with matte medium. Didn't know what I was doing and it went wrong FAST. So I gesso'd over it and went in a different direction.

Bits and pieces of ephemera, some mail art I'd made last February, a photo of my daughter. Journaling with a white sigma pen and a blue gel pen. Love the green masking tape!
Done at Art and Soul, Hampton, VA with Julianna Coles. Reconstructed pages, collage, pen, and cheap paint!
This is a visual journal I'm making as I work through the book "Your Heart's Desire" by Sonia Choquette. I've decided to work differently than I usually do--I'm "prepping" the pages before I do the journaling instead of doing it all at the same time. This is the first finished spread. Here's the prepped spread before I "worked" on it.
