Label reads: “Leo Buring. Reserve bin DR 273. Reserve Claret. 1971 vintage. DR 273 is made from Shiraz grapes grown in the Eden and Barossa Valleys and at McLaren Vale. It was matured in French oak casks prior to being bottled at Chateau Leonay on July 1st, 1974. DR 273 has a full soft, fruity nose and flavour with a soft oak and tannin finish, revealing good bottle age development. The following awards have been received for this wine: Trophy 1978 Canberra, Gold medal 1978 Canberra (Class 56), Silver medal 1974 Perth (Class 17), Bronze medal 1974 Adelaide (Class 12). The white sand and South Eastern exposure of the Lower Tintara Vineyards allow the Rhine Riesling vines planted there to bring their fruit to a golden maturity late in the vintage. Vintaged carefully at low temperature and under pressure, the wine made from these grapes has a rich varietal nose and full flavour typical of the Spatlese style. This is a drawing i made of milky. it's one of the sketch drawings i made when i was "building" the character that will eventually become "Feilan" . i wanted to post it on flickr so long ago, but i had no time.

i used oil pastels.

This wine has been vintaged from Rhine Riesling grapes, grown in the Eden Valley, Springton area and the Barossa Valley. Very careful vintaging techniques were utilized, culminating in a long cool fermentation under a slight pressure of carbon dioxide and as a result, the full fragrance of the variety has been preserved. Label reads: “The 1964 Vintage has produced wines, both red and white, of Excellent Quality. This wine was produced from that part of our vineyard planted in 1897. We consider this wine to be one of the top Dry Red wines of our 1964 Vintage. This wine is of a burgundy style typical of wines made from Hermitage Grapes, grown solely in the Pokolbin are of N.S.W.
