The Volvo V70 is a versatile car. The V in V70 stands for versatile (S70 = saloon, C70 = Coupe).

Here the load carrying capabilities of a V70 are demonstrated. I am taking an internal door (see a previous photo) to the local paint strippers premises.

For loads that are longer than will fit in the load area the seats can be folded.

The rear passenger seat squabs (the bottom part of the seat) can be lifted to form a small bulkhead, then the remaining seat back is folded down. This forms a completely flat area from the tailgate to this newly created bulkhead.

For longer loads, the front passengers seat has two catches on the rear that allow the seat back to be folded forward. If required the rear seat squabs can also be removed, thus removing the bulkhead.

In this way a nearly 2 metre long house door can be loaded into the car, the tailgate can be closed, there is no obstruction to the cars controls or view out of the windows.

Oh, and I nearly forgot...

Fold everything back into place and you have a 5 seater, with capacity for an extra 2 in the load area - a seat folds out from the floor to form a rear facing double seat suitable for children. Thats what the two rear most seatbelts are for. This is a factory fitted option.

There is also an integrated booster seat located in the centre position of the rear seat. It is to be used by children who weigh between 15 and 36 kg and are between 97 and 137cm in height. It should not be used by children less than 3 years old

I don't believe there are many cars that are so versatile in this respect.

The mercenary soldiers of the Galaxy Patrol are always on the lookout for new hardware to add to their arsenal.

While assisting the M:Tron Corporation in suppressing the violent mining Droid Labor Union strike on Sirius VI in 3026, the Galaxy Patrol brass were impressed by the versatility of the CF400, a modular utility platform manufactured for M:Tron by General Positronics, Inc.

The Galaxy Patrol gave General Positronics a lucrative contract to design and build weaponized modular terrestrial defense units designated CF400x. Modifications to the original design included supercharging the efficient hydro-diesel power plant, photon-resistant body armor, enhanced guidance and tracking systems, and finishing with the Galaxy Patrol’s dark blue and orange livery and characteristic bling.

This heavily armed example features twin triple-barrel plasma cannons and twin photon ground to air missile launchers. The model features rotating turret, adjustable trajectory using a simple worm gear mechanism, and a single trigger for each missile launcher for all 15 flick fire missiles.

The Varsity was a versatile twin piston-engined aircraft brought into RAF service in 1951 for crew training as a replacement for the Wellington T10.

The aircraft had been designed three years earlier in response to an Air Ministry specification and had been put into production once proving trials and operational tests had been completed. To adapt the successful Valetta design for a general purpose crew trainer, the Varsity was given a nose-wheel undercarriage and an under fuselage pannier bomb-aimer's station. The Museum also has an example of the Valetta which is awaiting major restoration.

The most outstanding quality of the Varsity was that it could provide excellent training for pilots, flight engineers, radio operators, navigators and bomb aimers simultaneously. The latter were seated in a very large ventral gondola which contained bomb aiming equipment and a small quantity of training bombs.

The prototype Varsity T MkI made its maiden flight on 17 July 1949. The RAF took its first deliveries in October 1951 which went to No.201 Squadron, Advanced Flying School at Swinderby, Lincolnshire. Production of the Varsity T MkI for the RAF ceased on 28 February 1954 after a total of 163 had been built.

WL679 was built by Vickers Armstrong at Bournemouth and released from their factory on 25 September 1953. This was the last Varsity to fly with Royal Air Force Insignia, but in the very distinctive livery of the Royal Aircraft Establishment. It landed at RAF Cosford on 27 July 1992 and signalled the end of an era spanning over 43 years.

What Makes You Different Than Any Other Model Out There? My ice blue eyes and platinum blond hair really make me stand out. I'm very versatile and I would also be willing to bleach my brows if you wanted me to have an ice queen look.

This photo shows some of the many ways in which stages can be used. They can be built as low as 3 inches and up to ten feet high and beyond.

The multi-level feature allows stages to be used as bleachers.

The angled stage makes possible 45 degree catwalks. An "X" can be created which would attach to an existing stage. Models/Actors could then move from the main stage out into the audience area and back.

Auditorium stage too small for a large performance? This type of stage can be built to any height so it will match the existing stage...problem solved ! It can even be built over auditorium seating.

Raphaël Pathé is a multifaceted artist known for his versatility as a camera-host, DJ, clairvoyant psychic medium, creative writer, and content producer. He proudly traces his lineage back to Jacques Pathé, the co-founder of the esteemed French Pathé cinema and Music global brands, which has profoundly shaped his artistic journey.

Growing up amidst the picturesque landscapes of France, Raphaël quietly cultivated a unique ability to sense the future and communicate with spirits. Despite his extraordinary gift, he remained modest, allowing his talents to develop organically.

Intrigued by the legacy of his ancestors, Raphaël embarked on a cultural exploration that took him through the bustling streets of London, the romantic avenues of Paris, the fashionable milieu of Milan, and the vibrant nightlife of Ibiza. Each destination left an indelible mark on his artistic sensibilities, enriching his understanding of the world and its myriad complexities.

However, it was in the glitzy realm of Hollywood that Raphaël faced his most profound challenges. Amidst the dazzling lights and extravagant parties, he grappled with personal demons, including encounters with a distressed ghost in his bungalow. This period of introspection led to a deeper understanding of himself and his place in the universe.

Guided by the wisdom of Michelle, a local psychic, Raphaël made the courageous decision to embrace his gift of mediumship and share it with the world. This pivotal moment marked a new chapter in his career, as he sought to integrate spirituality into his artistic expression.

Today, Raphaël Pathé stands as a beacon of humility and authenticity in an industry often characterized by excess and self-promotion. Through his productions and hosting duties on shows such as Emmy winning ;WeDigTV, Celebrity Star-News, Tarot Life, Paris Voyance Live, and RTWM Guest, he seeks to inspire others with his genuine passion for storytelling and connection.

In a world where the lines between reality and the supernatural blur, Raphaël's journey serves as a reminder of the power of humility, authenticity, and self-discovery. With each new project, he continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression while remaining grounded in his roots and values.

Backlog.. everyone loves backlogs, right?

Well, to start digging myself out, I've decided to start with my surprise Walmart find this weel, Transformers: Cyberverse Arcee, which is technically still on preorder for me at Amazon but with no provided fulfillment date.

Transformers: Cyberverse is a cel shaded computer animated television show featuring characters from the Transformers toy franchise. It's not a show I've watched at all because, well, I have no idea how to access Cartoon Network programming.

I've also never purchased any toys from this line as it is aimed at a lower age group, which affects not only aesthetics (which doesn't bother me a whole lot) and complexity of transformation. But hey, it's Arcee, the official First Lady of the Transformers universe, so I couldn't say no to that.

Being a Deluxe sized figure, she retails for $29.99 CAD here in Canada. Like the rest of the Cyberverse line, it comes with the figure, some weapons for the figure (in this case, her pistol with two blast effects) and parts for a Build-A-Figure (some dude named Maccadam). The blast effects (and the fin of the vehicle mode) are made of a soft rubber, and will most likely require the hot water treatment to reshape them upon opening).

The aesthetic I guess you could say is an evolution of the old Transformers Animated series back in 2010 or so, with recognizable characters but very zany looking body proportions.. a very Looney Toons aesthetic compared to the bulky builds of the 80's.

As with all Transformers, toy designers and animators did the best they could to complement each other, but like with most ambitious designs, the toy is somewhat lacking compared to the on screen counterpart.

First off, you can see that the backpack of the animated figure is smaller, and resembles Arcee's G1 look, much like.. well pretty much every other four wheeled Arcee figure (with the exception of the repaint for the Titan Returns line). The toy is.. well, not even close.

Secondly, despite having the price point increased like with the Siege line, I can't exactly say I'm terribly impressed with where they used all the extra budget.

So there are BAF parts which aren't my thing, but I will acknowledge they are there.

The plastic utilized for this toy (and probably the rest of the line too) feels more like the glossier, softer plastics that the figures used before the Unified Product with Takara Tomy was announced. To Hasbro's credit, finishes on the plastic were quite well done, with no real mould lines or rough finishes, and non of the parts seemed particularly flimsy.

Given the lack of Takara Tomy markings on the box, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Cyberverse is a Hasbro exclusive line for the time being.

There's also a startling lack of paint. One of the dangers of having an animated model or other official art work is that you can do a comparison and contrast. Much like the Hasbro of old, there's quite a few paint apps that aren't there. There's almost no white on the toy whereas white makes quite a few appearances on just the image on the back of the box alone. The gun should have two shades of pink, the wheels should be black, and there's missing blue paint apps. I'm confident that if I looked deeper into official art, I'd probably find many more.

Quality of the paint apps is... acceptable, with some bubbling observed in areas where the light pink paint was used, most notable being the vehicle canopy.

The actual figure itself isn't bad - to be fair, the only female bots as of late that have been average at best would be Moonracer and her derivatives. The giant backpack on the back is.. well gigantic, though I will admit you don't see how big it is from the front - I like the design of the folding rear vehicle tires which helps to minimize its exposure. It also helps that unlike Moonracer, there aren't that many obvious car parts in robot form.

Articulation wise, Cyberverse Arcee is... alright. The most recent iteration of a specific toys designed for the character would be the one used for Legends/Generations, which had all the curves of Arcee, but with pitiful lower body articulation and no waist joint. I'm happy to report that this figure seems to have learned from the previous one, keeping that feminine look and still can pull off some decent poses despite that giant backpack.

You get forward/backward rocking ankles, single jointed knees which lock in place when straight, the ability to rotate the lower leg, hips on ball joints, waist, standard ball jointed shoulders, bicep swivel, pinned elbows, and ball jointed head. While I would have loved to have seen ankle tilts, a bit more versatility with regards to leg position, and greater leg range of motion, the fact this figure has a functioning waist automatically makes this a better figure than the Generations one.

For reasons unknown, yet again, Arcee was sculpted with open hands rather than closed fists that fit standard sized weaponry.

Transformation into vehicle mode has all Arcee's bits and bobs fitting inside her neatly connecting vehicle panels, with the twin blast effects doubling as boosters on the back of the vehicle. The vehicle mode itself is blockier than her G1 counterpart, and resembles Blurr more than Arcee... but to be fair they were both Cybertronian vehicles anyway.

So overall, it's not as pretty as the Generations release, but the Cyberverse Arcee figure is certainly much more functional as an action figure. I dig it in the same way I dig most main line Transformers - I have a certain mental image of what figures should be able to do given the price point, and this figure does them all.

I have no idea how she compares to the other Cyberverse figures play wise, but I do know they all look like they they could use more paint.

That's about it for Cyberverse Arcee, though Arcee herself still has some heavy representation coming in - there's the Big Firebird Nicee, MP Arcee, and of course Earthrise Arcee. I'm most curious about what the latter can do, as most of her vehicle chassis comes off to form some sort of sled, like with most of the Earthrise line, easing design restrictions.

Till next time!

The versatile Boeing P-8 Poseidon performs anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, shipping interdiction, and search-and-rescue functions. To support those missions the plane can carry torpedoes, depth charges, Harpoon anti-ship missiles, sonobuoys, search and rescue kits, and other equipment.

The Poseidon’s design is based on the Boeing 737-800ERX. The Poseidon first flew in 2009 and entered service with the U.S. Navy in 2013. It replaces the venerable Lockheed P-3 Orion. Multiple countries are deploying the Poseidon. Great Britain will take delivery in 2019. Members of the Royal Air Force are training with the aircraft and were conducting tours of this aircraft.

In 1918, Great Britain’s Royal Air Force (RAF) was founded, making it the first independent air force in the world. To celebrate the RAF’s 100th anniversary, the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum hosted The Great British Fly-In at its the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. The event included historic and modern aircraft and other vehicles, reenactors, lectures, and performances. Not all aircraft planned for the event were able to participate. Planes that did participate included a Lancaster, a B-25 Mitchell, and a Boeing P-8 Poseidon.

Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 (VMFAT-101) "Sharpshooters"

MCAS Miramar

Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 (VMFAT-101) is a United States Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet training squadron. The squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California and falls under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 11 (MAG-11) and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3rd MAW).

The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather carrier-capable multirole fighter jet, designed to attack both ground and aerial targets. Designed in the 1970s for service with the United States Navy and Marine Corps, the Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations. It has been the aerial demonstration aircraft for the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels since 1986. Its primary missions are fighter escort, fleet air defense, suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD), interdiction, close air support and reconnaissance. Its versatility and reliability have proven it to be a valuable carrier asset, though it has been criticized for its lack of range and payload compared to its contemporaries.
