This Steely-vented Hummingbird (Saucerottia saucerottei) was at the Jardín Botánico del Quindío in Calarcá, Quindío, Colombia when I photographed it on July 17, 2018. It lives in forest clearings, second growth and cultivated areas at low to mid elevations in Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. Males forage on flowers in low shrubs and tree crowns, especially in second growth. The garden's butterfly house is a large open-air vivarium, home to more than 30 butterfly species native to Colombia. IUCN lists the Steely-vented Hummingbird as Least Concern, with a decreasing population.
I made this frame with a Pentax K-1 and the HD Pentax-D FA 150-450mm f/4.5-5.6, at 1/320 sec, f/5.6, ISO 100. The regional environmental agency, the CRQ, has also entrusted the garden with eight hectares of natural forest in the Barbas Bremen forest reserve, near Filandia and Circasia.

Paternoster Vents also known as Vents or Angel's Wings. It is a stainless steel sculpture by Thomas Heatherwick located in Paternoster Square London. The sculpture provides ventilation for an underground electrical substation.

I went to Herne Bay last week. I saw these air vents on the seafront near the King's Hall - not sure what they are for, but they looked interesting.
Took this photograph using a circular polarising filter.

in the rock just above the place where I found Snakeskin Liverwort.
The cold air is always coming out of these rocks even in the summer.
Might be useful where a 1 x 2 vent using the standard grille brick would turn out too big/out of proportion. And the shutters are see thru :-)
LDD says it's illegal, but it'll work in real bricks as the protruding upper edge of the SNOTted 1x2 grater will slide nicely into the space between outer wall and tubes of a covering plate or brick. Note that it'll require at least a 2x3 plate or brick to work that way, though.

The yellow-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus goiavier) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is resident breeder in southeast Asia from southern Thailand and Cambodia south to Borneo and the Philippines. It is found in a wide variety of open habitats, but not deep forest. It is one of the most common birds in cultivated areas. They appear to be nomadic, roaming from place to place regularly.
The yellow-vented bulbul builds a well-camouflaged but fragile, loose, deep, cup-shaped nest from grass, leaves, roots, vine stems, and twigs. The nest is untidy on the outside, but it is neatly lined with plant fibers. It may be built in a wide range of places from low bushes to high trees. This is a species adapted to humans and may even nest in gardens. The yellow-vented bulbul lays 2–5 eggs in February to June.
The yellow-vented bulbuls eats berries and small fruits. They also sip nectar, nibble on young shoots, and take some insects.
