Fairly small dark hummingbird, green overall with dark blue tail. Straight, medium-length bill. Sexes similar. Usually seen feeding singly in flowers along forest edge, shrubby second growth, and gardens. Separated from Emeralds by longer bill, blue-and-white vent, bronze patch on rump, and less deeply forked tail.

anyways my legs kill me today, ive been working out so much lately its ridiculous. i think its working though.

anyways on another note, today is the one year anneversary of one of my good friends death =[ i miss her we always had fun when we were together, one time we had a french toast war. And we were drinking smirnoff and she made fun of me for like a year cuz i told her i was a unicorn. I cant believe its already been a year, =[

This early morning view taken from below the bird shows the descriptive yellow vent. We came across these birds in several locations and often heard them calling. This particular example was photographed in the hotel grounds in Northern Borneo.
