I'm not sure what this is. I think it's how they get the hot water fro the spring to the rest of town, but I might be wrong...

I'm not sure what this is. there were two of them about 2-30 feet apart on a platform overlooking the battlements at Fort Columbia. Perhaps some kind of vent or exhaust?
This shows how we had to bend the duct slightly to avoid a truss. From there it goes straight up through the roof.
Here's a vent for the kitchen. It's a nice way to let every bug in the city inside... so I tend to keep the kitchen door closed and this light off. By the way, most of the lights in Paraguay are halogen... so they flicker and take forever to turn on. It's irksome.
