VENT Fall at Panama's Canopy Tower

Patricia Powers recevait Louise Lacoursière pour le lancement de son dernier livre.

Sette meno venti di sabato mattina, alzo la serranda e trovo la sorpresa. Cinque minuti dopo non c'era più.

For the panel vents, the perforated sheet metal I ordered already had a non-conducting coating. It took some serious elbow grease and wet sanding to remove it.

Il n'est pas évident de prendre le vent en photo, j'espère l'avoir fait.

About Myvatn

Mývatn is a shallow eutrophic lake situated in an area of active volcanism in the north of Iceland, not far from Krafla volcano. The lake and its surrounding wetlands have an exceptionally rich fauna of waterbirds, especially ducks. The lake was created by a large basaltic lava eruption 2300 years ago, and the surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic landforms, including lava pillars and rootless vents (pseudocraters). The effluent river Laxá is known for its rich fishing for Brown Trout and Atlantic Salmon.

The name of the lake (Icelandic mý ("midge") and vatn ("lake"); the lake of midges) comes from the huge numbers of midges to be found there in the summer.

The name Mývatn is sometimes used not only for the lake but the whole surrounding inhabited area. The River Laxá, Lake Mývatn and the surrounding wetlands are protected as a nature reserve (the Mývatn-Laxá Nature Conservation Area).

The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Burma and southwestern China.

The Red-vented Bulbul is easily identified by its short crest giving the head a squarish appearance. The body is dark brown with a scaly pattern while the head is darker or black. The rump is white while the vent is red. The black tail is tipped in white. The Himalayan races have a more prominent crest and are more streaked on the underside.

This is a bird of dry scrub, open forest, plains and cultivated lands. In its native range it is rarely found in mature forests. A study based on 54 localities in India concluded that vegetation is the single most important factor that determines the distribution of the species.

This is one of several shots I took for P365, but never used. My intention was to re-take them later if I was struggling for ideas. Thankfully I didn't need them.

Vent, at the end of in Austria's Tyrol region.

just in the middle of a grassy field, a steam vent breaks the surface

J'ai pris toute une série sur les goélands et les "otaries" - les surfeurs

Le vent m'aurait bien arraché l'appareil s'il avait pu, pas faute d'avoir essayé.
