These were taken ta the start of my Croydon day trip which is more photogenic than you'd think!

Another photo of the lighthouse. Not sure what all the vents on the light house were for, but I liked this ones look. Not sure I'm happy with how this one turned out though.
Or whatever they call it. Look at the nice rusty water coming out of that. The fire department guys said their station had around 900 hydrants, and they try to do this once a year on each. That's around 2.5 per day, every day.

Je crois que nous n'avions jamais cotoyé de vent aussi fort! Il devait facilement osciller entre 120 & 130km/h. Avec un tel vent, la moindre mèche de cheveux qui vous touche vous fouette littéralement... Si en plus on rajoute le froid....

This is the vent for what I presume is an underground boiler. It's a peculiar shape, oddly asymmetrical and industrial. I couldn't get it from a good angle to show that shape off today though; the light and the surroundings just weren't co-operating.
I like the transparency of the steam billowing out of it.
