Strong gale, almost storm, very heavy rain.
Since I moved to this place, I've called my apartment my weather tower, because if the wind is blowing, it's always a LOT windier where I live than anywhere else. I'd say it's almost as if I lived right by the sea. The vents are whistling and there's a constant draught, and the windows sound like they're going to break. It may not seem very attractive, but I LOVE it, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's so dramatic!
Tonight I had a visitor over, a girl I was just getting to know in late December, but for various reasons we haven't met up again in 9 months. She was very impressed with the weather view, since she is, like me, very fond of weather ("Can you be FOND of weather?" Why, yes!!). She lives right next to the sea, of course. We talked over tea, wine & cookies for 7 hours and then she felt it was perhaps time to go. (same thing happened last time, btw)
- So we'll do this soon again, right? Meet up, talk for 9 hours, then you can have a gall-bladder attack the entire day after and we'll see each other in 9 months after that!
- You BET!
- Or, we could have a coffee for two or three hours within two weeks or so. That's another option.
- Yeah, I've considered that but I don't know if it's really "us".
- I know, right?
(Apparently the last time I saw her I got really sick the day after. I had forgotten all about it, weird.)
She's a journalist. I'd post a picture of her but she hates having her picture taken more than anything else. She's so cute though! But very secretive. She's been hiding in the forest all summer. I can't relate to any of that AT.ALL. :P
