I remember riding this when I was 10. It was the first time that plants seemed remotely interesting to me.

 

In this part of the Living with the Land attraction at Epcot we see a range of crops planted closely together. They are actually being grown in a sterilized sand bed and being feed hydroponically.

Jennifer (Jen's Photography) and I went into Chicago to shoot at one of the farmers market in Lincoln Park on Saturday.

I spotted these cressants on the Bennisons Bakery table and waited for a moment when no one was picking one so I could get this clear shot.

from foreground to back: bandakka theldala, vatakolu suddata & pipingna takkali salada -- (some things thing i had for lunch one day, with rice).

  

these are sri lankan veggies. bandakka is called lady's fingers, okra in English or okura in japan {thanks to Anzu for telling me of this; and here it is sautéed with chillie and spices), vatakolu is a kind of gourd i think, (and its simmered in turmeric laced coconut milk for this dish), and pipingna takkali salada is a cumber, tomato and onion salad, dressed with vinegar and black pepper.
