The van has got opening rear doors and a working sliding door. It's a high-roof model van, mainly because I needed a certain height in order to make the doors the way I did.

A superb way to utilise the Majorette VW T1 casting and one i've eager to find for some time. Amazingly it wasn't the regular version I found at TK Maxx but instead the superior Metal Series release. Weighty all metal construction with a folding serving hatch and roof and en trend street food themed livery.

Huile sur toile, 72 x 91 cm, septembre 1888 (F 464 / JH 1589), musée Van Gogh, Amsterdam.
Ce tableau montre la Maison jaune située place Lamartine à Arles où ont habité dans la partie droite Vincent van Gogh (du 22 février 1888 au 8 mai 1890) et P Gauguin (du 23 octobre au 23 décembre 1888). Celle-ci a depuis été détruite par un bombardement lors de la seconde guerre mondiale.
Vincent écrivit à son frère : "Tout et partout la coupole du ciel et d’un bleu admirable, le soleil a un rayonnement de soufre pâle et c’est doux et charmant comme la combinaison des bleus célestes et des jaunes dans les Vermeer … Le motif de la maison en plein soleil était d’un « dur » mais justement je veux le vaincre. Car c’est terrible ces maisons jaunes dans le soleil, et puis l’incomparable fraîcheur du bleu. Tout le terrain est jaune aussi … La maison à gauche est rose à volets verts, celle qui est ombragée par un arbre. C’est là le restaurant où je vais dîner tous les jours. Mon ami le facteur reste au fond".

Not the name of a new Van Hool body but no fewer than five Van Hool bodied coaches are seen in this view keeping watch over a Setra S250. In this view are, from nearest the camera; J777RTL, an anonymous Van Hool Alizee, possibly on a Scania chassis; Atlantic Travel, Bolton, YJ04BKK and YJ06LGE, 'BKK' is a DAF SB4000, new to Geldard, Armley, in 03/2004 whilst 'LGE' is a VDL Bus SB4000, new to G-Line(Bradshaw), St. Annes-on-Sea, in 03/2006. Sandwiched, in the photo, between these two are KTS87G, a Volvo B10M-62 of KT's Coaches, Kendal. This was new to Stewart(21), Aberfeldy, Scotland, in 03/1996, registered N589SJS. At the far end is Tyrer's, Adlington, TYR10R, a Van Hool T9 Alizee bodied VDL SB4000. New to Edinburgh Coach Lines in 05/2007 registered YJ07JFX. Hidden behind YJ04BKK is A7YKW, a Plaxton Premiere 350 bodied Volvo B10M while the Setra on the right is Chris Stainton, Crooklands, Kendal, P25CSL, is a S250 model, new to Clarke, Lower Sydenham, in 05/1998 registered R128NFE.
