I could get used to this! Sat outside, glass of wine and a game of scrabble :)) I'm also beginning to forget how to cook, as meals have been salads and what I call grazing food, or simple tapas type things.
This is a photo for VALUE, I took this photo by pointing my camera up. I like the way the leafs fill up the frame, I wish the whites weren't so blown out.
I made this quilt using batiks for my mother-in-law's Christmas present. Though I usually shy away from batiks, I LOVE how they turned out in the quilt!
The NHS Values Summit brings together a diverse range of people and perspectives to create a greater understanding of how people’s differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
It challenges and inspires people to think about the role of ethical leadership in improving the health and wellbeing of local communities, staff and patients and how the NHS can increase the social value of its activities.
Welcoming representatives from health and social care, alongside more than 20 partners from the voluntary and community sector, this event (in Leeds, Yorkshire) was a template for future NHS Values Summits, which will be held twice a year in different locations across the country. Each event will explore a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights. The next gathering will take place in May 2013.

Kate, her boyfriend Martin and 2 other British sailors were recruited through a sailing website to sail a yacht from St Lucia to Gibraltar. The yacht was searched en route and nothing was found. However, they were greeted in Gibraltar by dozens of police, Customs officers and sniffer dogs. The boat was searched again and 216 kilos of cocaine valued at £8 million was found packed around the engine. It was so well hidden that even the police had difficulty finding it and eventually had to destroy part of the boat. All four crew members were arrested and charged with various offences. Kate was held for 2 months before being released along with her boyfriend and another crew member. All charges were dropped; police investigations concluded that none of them had known about the drugs or had any involvement in their concealment and transport.

I've seen this room and I've walked this floor.
I used to live alone before I knew you.
I've seen your flag on the marble arch,
but love is not some victory march.
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah.

After being washed away by a flood, this chapel was rebuilt in the early 1900s as a memorial to a Missionary who worked in India translating the Bible into the local language. With the support of the Royal Commission for Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, I have spent the last 3 years travelling across the length and breadth of Wales, documenting the interiors of chapels that have closed. This collection of images will feature in a book to be published later this year. The project is to raise awareness of how rapidly chapels are being closed, demolished or converted - buildings which played a huge part in Welsh history and culture.
