To deliver a truly great health and care service for everyone we must focus on the promotion of equality and the reduction of health inequalities.
A variety of cross-sector representatives attended this sounding board meeting of the NHS Equality and Diversity Council at Coin Street in London, February 2013. The meeting’s objective was to help shape the national strategy for equality, health inequalities and human rights.
The strategy will set out a clear approach, reflective of the values of the NHS Constitution, for promoting equality and tackling health inequalities for all groups across the life course.
This work is led by Professor Steve Field, Deputy Medical Director with responsibility for Health Inequalities, and Paula Vasco-Knight, National Equality Lead. The NHS Equality and Diversity Council (NHS EDC), which is hosted by the NHS CB and chaired by Sir David Nicholson, is a key delivery partner.

Recognizing the value of skills and the need to promote education to the highest levels, the WorldSkills competition took place in Abu Dhabi in October. Young people from 59 member countries and regions competed in 51 categories. RIEDEL supported this celebration of excellence with an extensive radio communications set-up.
Still feeling scrappy, so I'm sticking with the 2.5 inch squares. The Call of the Scraps was a value top with no regard for the colors, How Zebras Think They Look was a color progression, with no regard for values. This time I'd like to combine light to dark turquoise with a white to black color progression. I'd like this to come out from an off center light point in kind of a spiky way. We'll see if it works and, if not, I'll just pick up the four patches and find another arrangement :)
This is going to be the start of a series of photos I intend to make that define different words. For this image, I selected "Value" and felt that using simple US bills would be inadequate; thus, I found someone that was willing to let me hold a fraction of their valuables to photograph. Instead of shooting it on the available concrete, I took off my black bandanna, laid it on the ground, and waited for a cloud to give the right lighting(the sun was horrible).

This represents light and value by showing the shadow of the "robot" and the highlight on its chest bringing out the heart.
Respect. The third of the Army Values. Treat people as they should be treated. In the Soldier’s Code, we pledge to “treat others with dignity and respect while expecting others to do the same.” Respect is what allows us to appreciate the best in other people. Respect is trusting that all people have done their jobs and fulfilled their duty. And self-respect is a vital ingredient with the Army value of respect, which results from knowing you have put forth your best effort. The Army is one team and each of us has something to contribute.
