New Jersey Youth ChalleNGe Academy graduation ceremony for Class 59 was held in Sea Girt, New Jersey, June 16, 2025. The New Jersey Youth ChalleNGe Academy is an alternative education program designed to reclaim the lives of at-risk 16 to 18 year old youths and produce graduates with the values, skills, education, and self-discipline necessary to succeed as adults. Agriculture is the main stay of Uganda’s economy, however, the share of agriculture in the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been declining steadily. In fiscal year 2009/10, agriculture contributed only 14.6% to the national GDP of which 1.3% was attributed to the livestock sub-sector. The dairy industry is estimated to contribute more than 50% of the total output from the livestock sub-sector. The dairy industry employs many people who are engaged in various economic activities along the dairy value chain, particularly in milk production, collection, bulking and transportation, processing, distribution and marketing as well as provision of inputs and support services.
