An airport crash tender is a fire engine designed for use at aerodromes in aircraft accidents. The features include a good acceleration, ability to move on rough terrain outside the runway and airport area, large water capacity, a foam tank, a high-capacity pump, and water/foam monitors with a good throw distance. Newer AR-FF vehicles also incorporate twin agent nozzles/injection systems to inject a stream of Purple-K dry chemical into the AFFF Aqueous Film Forming Fluroprotein foam stream "knocking-down" the fire faster. Some also have Halotron tanks with handlines for situations that require a clean agent to be utilized. These features give the airport crash tenders a capability to reach an airplane rapidly, and rapidly extinguish large fires with jet fuel involved.
Some tenders have an elevated extended extinguishing arm called a Snozzle, giving a possibility to raise a water/foam cannon into the height of approximately 10–20 metres (33–66 ft). Some arms have reinforced nozzles that can puncture through superficial structures of an aeroplane to fight a fire inside the fuselage.[16]
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has given standards and recommended practices on rescue firefighting categories of civil aerodromes.[17][18] National aviation authorities may have given even further requirements on aerodrome rescue and fire services.
The rescue fire services are based on a statistical analysis of movements (take-offs and landings) on the airport. The aerodrome category is based on the size of the biggest aircraft taking a movement on the aerodrome. In addition, the number of movements of the critical aircraft is calculated, and the category can be decreased by one if the number of movements is lower than the standard describes. There are also minimum category levels based on, for example, the number of seats in the critical aircraft.
Depending on the airport category, the standards determine the minimum number of rescue firefighting vehicles. In addition, requirements are given on the water and foam capacities, discharge rates for foam solutions, and minimum dry chemical powder (complementary agent) amounts, reserve stocks of fire fighting agents, ability to operate on rough terrain, and acceleration of the air crash tenders. The end of each runway must be reached in a response time of two minutes, and any part of the movement area has to be achieved in a response time not exceeding three minutes.

Today I purchased a Sony DX0 [at a very good price] and I ordered the new Sony A7RIII which means that I will not be able to buy any food during 2018 and I had to cancel my plan to get the new iPhone X. I had not expected the A7RIII to be available until May or June of 2018 so I was surprised when Sony announced that it would be available at the end of next month ... all the rumour sites got it totally wrong as they were predicting the launch of an A9S or A7SIII claiming that whatever was to be announced would be expensive. The Sony A7RIII will retail at Euro 3500 ... when I checked my records I discovered that i paid Euro 3700 for the A7RII more than two years ago.
I purchase the RX0 for a specific project due to begin in January so I have plenty of time to master it.
Gas range/stove/oven, functions, circa 1980s vintage best guess, Porter Square area. In the top floor of a triple decker; will need some help moving it down the stairs. The stove and oven/broiler both work; the stove is a little slow on the igniter (clicking). I have removed the door, racks, and insides for moving it down the stairs, but all parts are complete.

Drive-in Movies
We used to have a Drive-in movie theatre on the edge of town. We never got to go but while they were shutting it down my parents tried to bring my sister and I. I was ten years old and Airbud was showing. The first one, not any of the sequels or spinoffs. My parents brought us to the early show because the late show was always an adult movie. When we arrived we were told they changed the movies for the last night and were showing two scary movies instead. To the day I am still disappointed we didn't get to see the movie. I've always wanted to go to a drive in movie. Sitting in your car, listening to the movie through your radio, and sitting in your comfortable car seats. Plus you get the cool intermission video with the dancing popcorn, pop, and candy bars "Lets all go to the lobby, lets all go to the lobby..." Ok so I'm a little weird and like unpopular and vintage things but come one it sounds fun!
Well last night I got to participate in my first drive-in movie classic commercials and all. There is a car show called Mopars in the Mountains and the Friday night before the show they have a classic drive-in movie. This year they got to show Fast Five which released on DVD yesterday. It was a lot of fun. We drove up in my topless jeep, leaned the windshield down and enjoyed the show. Beautiful view! If I hadn't forgotten my camera I probably would have been able to get a great a shot. The Rockies to the left and looking over the city to the right. Oh well. I'm just glad I got a shot! To fail at my project on the second day would not have been cool. My sister let me use her iPhone and here it is! My sister, in my jeep, as we get ready to finally watch our first drive in movie. Only took us fourteen years.

Vista de l'Albufera de València a poqueta nit. L'espill de llum solar que es forma sobre les aigües és conegut localment com El Lluent (lluent).
L'Albufera de València és una llacuna costanera succinta (profunditat mitjana d'1 m) situada en la costa mediterrània al sud de la ciutat de València. Té una extensió de 23,94 ICM, i està rodejada de 223 ICM d'arrossars.[2] La seua conca hidrogràfica té una extensió de 917,1 ICM, que s'estén des del nivell del mar fins una altitud d'uns 1.000 msnm. Està separada del mar per una estreta barra litoral (restinga) arenosa amb dunes estabilitzades per un bosc de pins (Devesa del Saler). L'Albufera és una zona de pas per a moltes espècies d'aus migratòries.
El seu valor ecològic és molt gran ja que ací es troben espècies de gran valor ecològic en perill d'extinció, com el Fartet o el Samaruc. A més és una de les poques Albuferes que es conserven en bon estat a la Comunitat Valenciana, la costa de la qual antigament estava formada per una successió d'albuferes i marjals. Hui en dia encara es poden veure la successió de marjals en tota la costa valenciana, encara que més xicotet que l'Albufera de València, des de la marjal de Pego-Oliva, la marjal de Xeraco, la marjal de Rafalell i Vistabella a Massamagrell, la marjal del moro a Puçol-Sagunt, o la marjal d'Almenara, entre altres.

Débuté en mars 2010, le mouvement social contre la réforme des retraites en France en 2010 a mobilisé à huit reprises plusieurs millions de salariés dans les secteurs public et privé. L'objet immédiat est de protester contre le relèvement de 60 à 62 ans de l'âge légal de départ à la retraite et de 65 à 67 ans de l'âge auquel un salarié n'est plus pénalisé par le système de décote. Le fond du problème est la dette publique française, la nécessité de son contrôle ou de sa réduction. Le gouvernement met en place une approche par réduction des dépenses publiques (retraites, santé). L'opposition estime ce projet socialement injuste et économiquement dangereux : elle souhaite plutôt augmenter les entrées fiscales, en supprimant les niches fiscales et en augmentant les prélèvements obligatoires.
Cette réforme est contestée par les huit principaux syndicats français : la CGT, la CFDT, FO, la CFTC, la CGC, l'Unsa, Solidaires et la FSU, qui ont organisé des journées de grèves et de manifestations avec une fréquence qui s'est accélérée à l'automne 2010. Ils ont été suivis par les syndicats lycéens UNL, FIDL et SGL, et étudiants UNEF, SUD Étudiant ou FSE. Un certain nombre d'associations ont participé à ce mouvement social en l'éclairant de leurs propres points de vue, telles la Fondation Copernic ou la Ligue des Droits de l'Homme. Les secteurs les plus mobilisés ont été l'éducation, les transports, l'énergie et l'audiovisuel public1.

Using the Canon 7D Mark II for nature photography. Kayak photography isn't the easiest way to capture a bird flying. Using top end gear is tricky and could be pricy. The new Canon 7DMKII is a good option if everything else is in line.
Clipboards in use. I use one for mail receipts, one for kids artwork, one for Angel Policy information (necessary to keep track of the agreements for use of the copyrighted paper I use at Crown Bindery!), and one for bills and receipts. Each month, I clean off the clipboards and put the bills/receipts in a file folder for the accountant. Then I start over again for the current month!
Most of the textures I use are my own, but there are a few brushes used here that I fall back on time and time again.
I use 'splatters' from Bittbox, probably the best tutorial blog out there, and full of amazing freebies. You can download the brushset here.
A good source for 'scratches and marks' brushes is misprintedtype.com. Eduardo Recife who runs it is an extremely talented artist, and it is well worth a visit.

It was using this technique when we actually located a cow with "nipple number five." And I lost awareness of the bra straps. I think maybe the odor was overpowering my other senses at this point. That odor wanted to stay with us, too! I wound up showering AGAIN before going to work. (George should thank me for this!)

La Fondation Nicolas Hulot lance My Positive Impact
2015 est une année décisive pour le climat et donc pour l’humanité toute entière. La COP 21, Conférence internationale sur le climat, se réunira à Paris en décembre prochain. 195 pays, devront impérativement parvenir à un accord si nous voulons éviter des changements climatiques irréversibles et leurs conséquences dramatiques pour la vie sur notre planète et pour des millions d’habitants.
Pendant longtemps, le débat sur le climat a été agité par deux questions : est-ce vrai ? Et y-a-t-il des solutions ?
Aujourd’hui nous savons que c’est vrai. Les scientifiques sont unanimes pour l’affirmer. Maintenant le changement est-il inéluctable ? Non, si nous optons pour les bons choix, individuellement et collectivement.
Les solutions existent, elles naissent partout dans la société civile. Des associations, des entreprises, des collectivités inventent, créent, lancent des initiatives pertinentes, efficaces et réplicables, pour lutter contre le dérèglement climatique. Habitat, alimentation, transport, santé … tous les secteurs sont concernés. A la clé : des créations d’emplois, plus de lien social, une meilleure qualité de vie et moins d’émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Malheureusement ces projets restent trop souvent expérimentaux confrontés à un mur de conformisme ou de scepticisme. Il suffirait pourtant de presque rien pour faire de ces bonnes idées isolées les standards de demain. C’est pourquoi, la Fondation Nicolas Hulot pour la Nature et l’Homme a décidé de permettre à tous de choisir les idées à suivre et de donner le pouvoir aux solutions pour le climat en les sortant de l’anonymat, grâce à une campagne de mobilisation inédite : My Positive Impact.
Le principe : 100 initiatives portées par des petites entreprises, des collectivités et des associations, qui répondent aux problèmes du changement climatique sont soumises au vote du public. Pour plus de lisibilité, deux sessions de votes sont proposées à raison de :
• 50 solutions soumises au vote du 11 mars au 19 avril
• 50 solutions soumises au vote du 25 mai au 5 juillet
Chacun est invité à voter pour celles qui lui parle ou qui le convainque le plus et, avec ses partenaires médias, la Fondation transformera les votes en visibilité ! 10 solutions remporteront ainsi une véritable campagne de communication en mesure de leur apporter la crédibilité et la notoriété nécessaire pour attirer investisseurs, compétences, partenaires, débouchés…. Reportages, plateaux TV, chroniques radios, articles, annonces presse, bannières web… les récompenses médiatiques prendront diverses formes.
Soutenue par de nombreuses personnalités (chanteurs, acteurs, sportifs, chefs d’entreprise, …), la campagne trouvera son point d’orgue en décembre 2015 à l’occasion de la COP 21, lors d’une grande soirée de remise de trophées My Positive Impact aux lauréats.

Last Friday, 17 October 2014, saw Local officers join HMP Manchester Community Team in a visit to Irlam and Cadishead College.
The officers talked about the dangers of using in drugs and the wider dangers of becoming involved in crime and antisocial behaviour.
The HMP Community Team gave the young people an idea of the harsh reality of prison life and the dangers of knife and gang-related crime.

You should call 101, the new national non-emergency number, to report crime and other concerns that do not require an emergency response.
Always call 999 in an emergency, such as when a crime is in progress, violence is being used or threatened or where there is danger to life.
