This Union Pacific train (which is about to cross the BNSF at Claremore} is northbound on the Van Buren Sub. Directional running rules apply here on this former Missouri Pacific line north of Wagoner, OK. Southbound UP trains out of Kansas City run on the former MKT main some 20 miles east of here. The BN diamond at Claremore is just behind me here.
Out and about with cool moonlight and flying sparks and Chris Renfro. It's getting to be that time of year when I can have a good evening of light painting in the mountains and still get home in time for few hours of sleep before my two-year-old wants to get up and play.
She just informed me that I have two minutes before we need to go to the bakery where she can have a muffin and I can get the coffee I desperately need this morning. Good times.

This pop up book is well worn now after the grandchildren have used it so many times. Not many of the pop ups work any more, this is an exception!

You get to see all kinds of things happening when walking through Jerusalem's Machane Yehuda Market. The woman didn't seem surprised at all as she walked right past.

Here is a close up view of the monster tree. One can also see Sir Pumpkin's scientist in this picture. The scientist was brought into Sir Pumpkin's time, from the future, by a powerful wizard. The scientist's appearance was then changed by the wizard's magic to its present condition. The scientist can be seen feeding the baby pumpkins with a special mixture of liquids designed to make them grow much faster.

Navajo Knobs Trail; Capitol Reef National Park, Utah; November 2017
The trail climbs and then drops three or four different times in the five miles hiking out. This was taken on one of the downs.
On the first weekend of September each year the small, sleepy Leicestershire village of Shackerstone springs to life with the sights and sounds of the Family Festival.
It attracts approximately 15,000 to a unique event that includes vintage cars, canal boats, planes, railways and much more!
I know... I clipped the wing tips (SIGH ) but I just loved the wing position like it was a glamorous hood and how she was lit up by the very early sunlight. The shape of the fish almost mimmicks her shape
