UP 7112 east passing through the crestfallen snow at red barn earlier this AM. The sun was peaking through the clouds at various times but none of them were when a train was going by. I like the orange boxes against the white backdrop here as we almost had full sun but was muted due to a passing cloud. At least they put the clean turd on the point of the turd special.

Going on a charter fishing boat for the day, with my husband, was wonderful... the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the water....
the boat was full and it seemed like everyone was pulling in fish...
we pulled up a few, but no keepers... just photos and memories!!!

It has now been a year since UP ran a manifest between Denver and Salt Lake City over the Moffat (the MNYRO and MRONY). There is still a lot of business in Grand Junction from the west slope though, so UP still has a manifest that runs between Denver and Grand Junction (the MNYGJ and MGJNY). The MGJNY enters the siding at Leyden to meet the westbound Zephyr, which departed Denver on time this morning.

Coming up the hill from Box this morning the fog was clearing so I stopped to have a look over the valley towards Bath, when I looked around the light was coming through the trees like this. Always look for the light.

This morning the conservatory opened up Blowing Rocks Beach at 6:00 AM to an invitation only photo shoot. Three of us had access this morning to catch the sunrise. This was an awesome experience and I captured this and many other photos not usually witnessed this time of day.
