Maple took the purple one, I got the pink one. We are all happy!

Here are some pictures of my handmade cigar box uke ... which is incomplete. It still needs a bridge. I really like the way it looks now though! The inlayed star (my first time trying inlay... in case you couldn´t tell) is a river clam found in Redwood Falls, and so is the S in the soundhole. The wood of the neck was trashpicked, and the wood of the fingerboard is from a broken beach chair handle. The tuners are classical guitar tuners cut and carved to match. I can´t wait to get a sound out of this thing!

The wonderful bokeh of the sunshine coming through the tree branches and leaves in the background from the Nokton 1.1 is just gorgeous.

Well - will you look at that! Ukulele really do grow on trees ;o)

This dude was a huge influence on my artwork. He's still around, but goes by a slue of new names now a days. Found this in some old stuff today.

this is my hilo ukelele. it's not a very playable instrument, but i got it for $60 so you get what you pay for. the uke, of course, is the national instrument of hawaii and is actually decended from a portugese style of small guitar (i forget what it's called).

i got this guitar on maui in early 2006.
