So I worked all week on this thing. I’m so freaking thrilled it’s done and it’s looks like what I had envisioned in my head.
My Uke Case.
I used the box it came in refortified all the corners first. Then with cardboard made the cradle for the uke in the box and the locks. Then came the design and assembly. Total cost to create 6 dollars from the dollar store. I had a bunch of craft stuff already.
I’m very proud of the design.

...on the road again, at least this trip is NOT business. This ukulele is my travel companion, easy to play and easy to carry...it is a lot of company in some pretty strange places and in some veery nice places.

Siste uka i juni 2019 besøkte 8 venner fra tyske DLRG Berlin Norge og RSRK Kristiansand. Det ble en uke full av opplevelser og masse aktiviteter fra morra til kveld.
I Løpet av uka ble det tid til St.Hans feiring, besk hos RS 147 "Inge Steensland" i Arendal, fotturer i og rundt Marvika og Odderøya, shopping, Kristiansand brannstasjon, Tømmerrenna i Vennesla, sommerfest og mere til.
Når uka var over, var det med tungt hjerte vi måtte ta farvell. Men alle var enig om at det hadde vært en fin tur og vi gleder oss til neste gang vi treffes.
Last week in June 2019, 8 friends from German DLRG visited Berlin Norway and RSRK Kristiansand. It was a week full of experiences and lots of activities from morning to evening.
During the week there was time for Midsummer eve celebration, visit RS 147 "Inge Steensland" in Arendal, hiking in and around Marvika and Odderøya, shopping, Kristiansand fire station, Tømmerrenna in Vennesla, summer party and more.
When the week was over, we had to say goodbye with a heavy heart. But everyone agreed that it had been a great trip and we look forward to the next time we meet.
RS «Uni Helgeland» og havnefogdbåten i Brønnøysund måtte heve en sjark som hadde ligget under vann en hel uke.
- Havnefogdbåten hadde vinsj om bord og vi hadde lensepumpe så det var et godt teamarbeid, sier Jarle Rodahl, båtfører på redningsskøyta.
En uke tidligere surret sjarken rundt og rundt en stake på grunn av uvær. Fortøyingstauet ble dermed kortere og kortere, og ved flo sank båten.
Sjøredningskorpset stilte med fire mann om bord på RS «Uni Helgeland», båtfører, to matroser og en aspirant. De lenset sjarken tom for vann med lensepumpa ombord i redningsskøyta, etter at havnefogdbåten hadde fått båten opp til vannflata ved hjelp av vinsj på fordekket. - Sjarken ble tømt for vann på en halvtime etter at den var hevet til vannflata, sier Rodahl.
