Is the Fluke the perfect ukulele for travelling, or is the STM pack the best backpack for carrying both a laptop and a uke?
After a crappy sleep, I went to work. The director approved my professional development plan, so Jenny and I are now going to the AWP in Boston on the company's dollar! We are both hoping it will revitalize some of our prose and act as a little prozac at the same time. I think it's going to be a wonderful trip.
My new boss is a hands-off kind of manager, which I really like. In fact, he often asks my opinion on stuff. Today he thanked me for taking the initiative on something, and I was tickled. Tired, but tickled.
I came home to an empty and clean hallway. Marty had completely removed the carpet and padding and cleaned the floor and steps so that it didn't stink and wasn't dusty anymore.
I came upstairs and changed my clothes and immediately painted all the trim in the hallway. Seemed a shame to waste the empty room. I only wish I had wall paint; I'd have done that, too.
I took a break before painting my bathroom door, and when I got back upstairs, Mack Watson's ukelele was in the master bathroom—just sitting there, propped against the wall. I thought Makala sounded like something you'd do in the bathroom.
As Susan Mack pointed out, I poured the beer between the hallway and the bathroom door. :-D

At The Grand Northern Ukulele Festival again. This is FU*K who are a group from Sweden. They performed with huge amounts of energy, which you should be able to tell from the fact that a lot if the shot is blurry. For more info about the group, go here www.facebook.com/fukulele/
Lovely Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain putting on their typically brilliant show at the Walthamstow Garden Party today - my little boy's first gig.
One of my first experiments with my new Pinwide pinhole "lens". My E-M5 was right up against the bridge of my Kala soprano travel uke, and angled downward quite a bit to have the uke fill as much of the frame as possible. This is a bit of a center crop to remove the most heavily vignetted edges, and to fill the frame with the tiny uke.
