Here is a tutorial for the Neon Tube. I got the idea from a Paintshop tutorial. and I had to find it again. The updated tutorial has been posted.
Click here for the full sized image of this tutorial.
When it comes up, you may have to click the magnifying to see the image in it's full size.
I am keeping this tutorial up ,because it uses different techniques to get similar results. Also using steps 21 and 22 of this tutorial, in conjunction with the new tutorial, you can get a more uniform result.

Meh, I felt like it.
And I like to draw abs not too mention someone at Scribblers had requested one, so hopefully this will be useful to someone.
I will make part 2 for less defined abs....eventually. Tutorials are long to make, omg! It's all the copy, paste, note, edit then start over at each little step. I might have over done it.
Still, good stress relief given how work has been today and this whole week. I work with distance education and elearning, so I NEED the computers to work. But my admin stations blew up its power supply, BOTH printers stopped working and my center is over booked with students while every single workstations but one just were updated by dim-witted technicians. I could have done a better job myself! But nooooooooooo, they have to put a bunch of locks on the computer so students can't install and browse weird places on the student accounts, but now they can't print or even change the keyboard language, and when I call for procedures (because the locking mechanism is custom made by them), they forgot how they did it! *head desk**repeat several times* IDIOTS!
Sorry, I needed that out of my system... >////<
and if this is too big for all size: try this.
Built in the heart of the Palais de la Cité. in the middle of the 13th century by Louis 9th, the Sainte Chapelle was built as a royal residence. A sumptuous intimate chapel within the residence was intended to house precious Christian relics, including Christ's crown of thorns, acquired by Saint Louis.
Stunning stained glass windows adorn the beautiful chapel. Arranged across 15 windows, each 15 metres high, the stained glass panes depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments recounting the history of the world until the arrival of the relics in Paris.
Today, the architecture and famous glass windows of the Sainte Chapelle represent a major example of the Radiant Gothic period.
Le Collier de Sainte Chapelle is created to honour these beautiful stained glass windows. Cubic right angle weave units form the frame of these “windows” with pointed peaks to reflect the time honoured shape of these windows. Beautiful back lit cabochons that mimic the light through stained glass are encircled with exquisite twinkling firepolished beads, fill the space within the frames just like the beautiful windows of Sainte Chapelle.

This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.
The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.
You'll need at least four layers, I'd say... you can use more pigments, of course, but trust me, it won't look as good when the colors too solid and opaque.
