This was quite an eye opening experience for me, and a ton of fun.
Last week I ordered a few art technique books, one of them being a book on painting sci-fi art by Francis Tsai called Extreme Worlds. Inside the book is a tutorial to create the painting I did above.
At first as I was looking through the book I was thinking, there's no way Sketchbook Pro is going to be able to create any of this stuff... it's too awesome and I'm just an amateur artist with an iPad. I'm going to have to buy a wacom and spend a grand on Photoshop... but I decided to give it a shot. The results were and are amazing.
Perspectives are off and all the sizing isn't correct but I think it turned out pretty darn good for a book tutorial using SkBP on my iPad. I'll probably do more tutorials and share my results here as well. If I'm brave enough I might just try something of my own, once I feel saucy. :)
This took about 6 hours and I followed an eleven step walkthrough. You can see screenshots of my progress in a collage piece I created below using the Moxier Collage app.
Everything was done with my finger, I have yet to order or try a stylus.
Who says learning can't be FUN!?!

Once you’ve pinned the binding around the whole quilt, begin top-stitching it down in the middle of one side. Stitch as close to the inside edge of the binding as you can, pivoting the quilt at the miter when you get to each corner. In theory, if you stitch about 1/8” from the inside edge of the binding, you’ll be stitching directly over the seam that attaches the binding to the back.
Ta-dah! You're done!
What girl doesn't love nice-smelling bath treats? I came up with this tutorial for a lavender-scented salt scrub to whisk away dead skin and leave you buffed and glowing. You can also pot it up and give it away as presents.

Olá meninas e meninos....
Quanto tempoooo!!!! Estou muito atrasada em colocar minhas nails, mas..... por um bom motivo!
Eu fiz um tutorial para o blog onde faço colaboração e era sobre essa nail (já fiz uma vez, mas fiz de novo para atualizar foto pq tava uma caca...).
Ficou bem legalzinho.. então quem quiser ver: www.feriadoparticular.com/2012/03/tutorial-unhas-marmoriz...
Bom... é isso..
Gostaram da marble de hoje?
Beijos!

* Fabric for your bag >>
Figure out what size bag you would like. Then to those measurements add 1/2″ on the left and right side and 2″ to the top for seam allowance and your drawstring casing. The bottom should be the fold of the bag. Notch the sides of the bag 2″ down from the top. Your pattern should look like this.
The bag I made will measure 9″ x 10″ after it is sewn. That means my pattern will be 10″ x 12″ or (9″ + 1/2″ + 1/2″) x (10″ + 2″).
Don’t forget to cut on a fold!
* Drawstring. I used cotton twill tape measuring 1/2″ wide. A pretty ribbon will just as well.
* Large eyed needle to thread the drawstring (a bobby pin or small safety pin will work too)
* Thread
* Scissors or thread clippers
* Sewing machine or thread and needle if you want to hand sew
After doing this, screw back the securing nut and tight it safely.
Try moving the rear element with your finger tip, take care not to touch the glass.
It requires practice to move it, not more than to learn how to use the rangefinder thou...

I am sharing a tutorial on the Sizzix blog today, for an autumn layout full of texture and colours. I used Karen Burniston's new Snippets collection and there is a house pop-up under the flap, and more stamping. Lots of Dylusions mists, Hero Arts stamps,and gold embossing paste. TFL!
