I was walking with my friends along a side road near Christie Lake when I saw this turtle digging a hole in the ground dangerously close to the road pavement. While we were snapping pictures, the turtle decided that it doesn't like the publicity and retreated back to the safety of the lake. I hope she is safe now.

the Live Tortoise and Turtle museum is a strange and interesting place. I haven't put all my pictures from it up, because they are a bit dull and I can't remember what all the turtles are called. I think this is one of the largest freshwater turtle species in the world, though...
We went to "Turtle Town" (a snorkel and diving site off Makena beaches) after Molokini, I literally ran into this turtle while swimming backward to take picture of my in-laws. Luckily that I did not touch the turtle, otherwise I could be fine for thousands of dollars for harassing endangered animal.
