This is a Eastern Painted Turtle who was crossing a busy road to lay her eggs at dusk. She was photographed near Geary, NB.

Stupidly I didn't remember to photograph the nameplates next to the animals, so I'm not sure what kind of turtle this is.

I found a tiny turtle on a rock wall by the Hike 'n Bike trail. I took him up to work and cleaned him off with bottled water to make sure he wasn't hurt before releasing him back into the wild. I was sooo tempted to keep him!

As I walked thru the arboretum near the hotel, this little guy came up and said, "Gutentag mensch!" Needless to say I took his picture.

Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium

Turtle was headed accross busy Highway 48 just east of Kirkfield.

A Snapping Turtle walked though our yard one day. I like the extra camouflage on his back.

This big turtle is part of the City of Palmdale's float. The turtles are spectacular. The spots on the shell are surrounded by individual twigs and the turtle's legs are covered by giant lily pads.

I also caught a turtle. Eff yeah!

may I take some pictures ? Of course, she said..

Little did I know that capturing animals in the water inside a house is not that easy..

another lesson learned..

We came upon two box turtles at the first overlook on Cliffside Trail.

These turtles found a nice little log to catch some sun on.

I was at the park to take some pictures of the turtles.
