On the forest edge, there is this cascade system of iron troughs, covered by duckweed and fallen leaves. The troughs were apparently not used for some time.
Another shot from this beautiful place. This time in HDR - two images combined in Photomatix.
On Explore - Dec 12th.
This is a cast iron water trough that livestock would use to drink from. It hadn't been used in quite some time, allowing underwater plants to grow. This day it was quite windy which created a nice abstract look to the water's surface. (Burns Oregon DSC_3394.jpg)

Parallel moves approaching Wakefield Kirkgate with Toton allocated 25065 heading east light engine on the trough line overtaking Crewe allocated 47264 approaching the station platform with an express formed of a mix of Mark I and Mark IIabc coaching stock, 22nd July 1976.
Locomotive History
25065 was built at Derby Works in 1963 as D5215 and was one of a small number of Class 25 locomotives fitted with a Stone Vapor L4610 train heating boiler. It entered traffic in July 1963 allocated to Toton before transfer to Cricklewood a month later. It remained in the London area for the next eleven years with spells at both Cricklewood and Willesden before returning to Toton in January 1975. It transferred to Springs Branch in October 1976 and its final move was to Haymarket in May 1977, from where it was withdrawn in February 1981. Its withdrawal was a bit of a surprise as it had received a classified repair (Intermediate) at Glasgow Works only eleven months earlier. It was broken up during February 1982 at Swindon Works. 47264 was originally D1964 and was built at Crewe Works, entering traffic on the September 1965. In 1984 it was fitted with electric train heating and emerged from Crewe Works in August 1984 as 47619. In June 1989 it was fitted with long range fuel tanks and renumbered 47829. It was withdrawn in March 2006 and eventually broken up during February 2013 by CF Booth Rotherham.

Horse Trough Falls is about 15 miles from Helen, GA. The falls are located in Union County on one of the flanks of Horse Trough Mountain. This 70-foot waterfall is located on a creek that's part of the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River and is in the Mark Trail Wilderness. The Chattahoochee River begins about 1.3 miles from here, and the water from the falls flows into the river, which is more of a creek at this point.

The second piece of my "Dis-connect" project. Initially conceived as a single image, I ended up using the triptych instead as I felt it told the story a bit better.

This is part of a new set. One year ago I made there two images; There is a difference between the world that I show you.. ... and the world as I see it.
The set stuck with me and I wanted to something similar. I tried it a few times and failed. Somehow it seemed impossible to (re)create anything similar if I planned something.
But now I managed recreate something similar. Part 2 is now online and posted on my website. Please feel free to see the differences between my world and the world that I show you!

You better be glad you can't see my actual reflection. I looked horrible. Check out that stringy hair and baggy t-shirt. Mmm, sexy.
