This water Trough was built into the wall so water could be got from either side. Minsmere RSPB Bird Reserve Suffolk.
It was quite difficult trying to get a new take on this building (and the arctic temperatures didn't help matters) - so I gave up and followed the tried and tested formula.

I found this old fountain (in the past used as trough for horses) in Verres (Italy, Valle D'Aosta), near the ancient castle. This is the result of three joined shot.

Castleton
This old water filled stone trough would at one time have been used as a drinking place for horses and cattle. It’s situated on a track just outside the village of Castleton. The water is still quite clean looking despite all the plants growing in and around it.

This trough just out of Derby is said to be the longest trough in Australia and possibly, the southern hemisphere. It is 120 metres long and can water 500 cattle at one time. It was built in 1917.
It made an interesting subject in a not so good Kimberley sunset.
On Sunday went went for drive around the Peak District whilst the snow was still around. Never fails to amaze me how beautiful it really is no matter when we pass through :D This was taken near Great Hucklow.

A lot of young Lemgruber Nelore bulls receive reinforcement feed of corn silage and supplement in order to "beef up" for an upcoming online auction. Otherwise, these Nelore cattle are entirely grass-fed.

Rising and falling like a dingy on the waves, the pheasant could've fluttered his wings to cross this massive ploughed field, but maybe he needed the exercise or just had some time on his hands.
