Got this one during a 2-days hiking trip in the Sächsische Schweiz. Love these tender autumn colours.
Foxgloves / Digitalis, growing in the verge below a dry stone wall near Marshaw, Over Wyresdale, Lancashire.
This is the Trough Road, which links the upper Wyre Valley with the Hodder Valley through the 'Trough of Bowland' pass in the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding National Beauty AONB. At this point the Marshaw Wyre stream runs close to the road on the left.
The dry stone walls are made from gritstone, known locally as millstone grit.

This was the last frame in my beloved Perkeo from my Northumbria trip. The M6 had ground to a halt and I decided to take a chance and came off and truned into the Tough of Bowland and come home via Clitheroe. It was late in the day the hills were bathed with a lovely light and wonderful shadows.
Frozen grass ball Beth left on the side of her heated trough. It's warm today so all of these tiny sculptures will be gone until next time.

It’s not often up you see these smack bang in the middle of a field, they’re normally by the edge, or built into a wall. It soon became apparent why this one is here, it’s been built right on top of a spring and is constantly filling It with fresh water. No idea how old it is but it appears to have been there for some time.
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
(59/365) Taken during my daily dog walk around a local field. Despite the dull day I quite liked the reflections in the water. Note there are no cattle in the field at this time of year HFF!
39/100x my 100 photos will all be taken using the Hipstamatic App.
