Saturday night saw my wife and I hop on down to Surfers Paradise RSL to catch "The Dynamics" featuring Izzy (Isobel Hall) and Wazza (Warren Thomas). Was great being able to catch them performing in a club that actually had lighting which really made a difference when it came to taking photos - I counted ten spots.

Thoroughly enjoyable night of music, great vocals, fine guitarmanship (is there such a word? well there is now!). Covering Aus Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Modern Rock, was really fun, bopping along to tunes we had grown up with.

A bonus on the night was when Jonathan Everett-Jones took to the stage and joined in on some tunes with his legendary harp playing - the same Jonathan Everett-Jones who in years gone by played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Alexis Korner and Supertramp amongst others including Joe Cocker and his Grease Band back in the 60's.

Great show Saturday night with Greg Andrew bringing his Elton John Experience show to RSL Club Southport.

Playing to a full house, Greg had the audience singing along and dancing in front of the stage and at the back of the auditorium.

And as someone said on the night: "If you didn't know better, you would swear it was Sir Elton on stage performing live in front of you!" such is the voice, presentation and mannerisms of Greg when he is performing on stage.

Rebecca O'Connor as Tina Turner is SIMPLY THE BEST. There are not enough superlatives to describe this show. If Tina Turner had a twin sister her name would be Rebecca O'Connor.

This was a show that had everything - great music, lots of energy, full-on audience participation - BUT, if you didn't know better you would have thought you were watching Tina Turner on stage.

Endorsed by both Tina Turner and Mick Fleetwood, you very quickly understand why this is so the moment Rebecca takes the stage.

Opening for Steve Cummins and his Neil Diamond Super Hits Show last night was this young lady, Lucinda Curtis. She had the entire audience mesmerised with her incredible voice - this is a young lady with a huge future given what we saw and heard last night.

Great night seeing Nick Waters and Captain WOW playing at Nerang RSL. Listening to tunes from the 60's and 70's including those from The Mommas and the Poppas, Joe Cocker, Steppenwolf, Santana, Joni Mitchell, Eagles, Dylan, Sonny and Cher, Neil Diamond, Daddy Cool, Abba, Tina Turner just to name a few brought back fond memories from years gone by.

Terrific evening listening to hits made famous by the legendary Stevie Nicks being performed by Lisa West and her band. Cabarita Beach Sports Club might be a small club but Lisa and the guys had the audience up and out of their seats dancing and singing along so some of the greatest tunes of our time. Look forward to catching this show again soon.

Another SOLD OUT/STANDING ROOM ONLY show last Saturday night at RSL Club Southport. The Eagels Band once again showed why they continue to be one of the most popular groups in the country - it was great watching these guys on stage interact not just with the audience but with each other and boy, did they have fun on stage as can be seen in many of the photos.

Their harmonies and musicianship on stage had the full house on their feet singing and dancing along to songs of yesteryear, songs that have stood the test of time.

On a personal note, there was no better way for me to spend the 11th anniversary of a massive heart attack than listening to some of the greatest music of my youth being performed by some of the best musicians we have in Australia - discovering live music here on the Gold Coast and rediscovering photography during my recovery process were two things that helped me after that life changing event.

Got to check out this group, Celtic Sons, on St Patrick's Day down at Seagulls. On this night they played a range of Irish and UK songs covering groups like U2, the Beatles, Van Morrison, Oasis, The Proclaimers just to name a few.

Better known as a U2 tribute group, these guys turned it on playing and really had my attention.

Another great night of Australian music by some of the best talent in Australia brought to you from the people at Made in Australia.

The evening featured three hours of iconic sounds made famous by Peter Garrett, Chrissy Amphlett and "Doc" Neeson.

If you closed your eyes and drifted into the clouds, the sounds you were listening to you would have sworn were those of Midnight Oil, The Divinyls and The Angels playing LIVE right there in front of you.

Great show last night with The Beatlegs at CSI Club Southport. These guys are the real deal, full of life and laughter on stage - and they had the full house on the dance floor from the first strum of the first song.

Listening to songs like "Hey Jude" and "She Loves You, Yea, Yea Yea" was great but the standout song for me again was "A Day In The Life".

This was the third time I have seen this group in the past three years and definitely look forward to seeing them again when next they are in town.

Went down to see Paul Hayman present his '50 Years of Legends' show and boy, what a show this is - great songs from yesteryear performed by a great singer who is more than ably supported by Kylie Wall with some astounding dance moves. A perfect night that had the huge audience up out of their seats and dancing on the dance floor, in the aisles and at the back of the auditorium. And the new sound system is to do die for, allowing these guys to show off their vocal skills.

Sold out show, not bad for your first visit to arguably the best club venue in South East Queensland.

The audience totally got into the music singing along to the early hits of the 60's and 70's and then rocking along to the sounds of the disco years on the dance floor and where ever they could find some space to move in the packed auditorium.

Terrific show Saturday night with Greg Andrew and his Elton John Experience show at CBD Live.

The crowd really got into hearing the timeless classics of Elton John, singing along and dancing in front of the stage. Last Sunday we joined Betty, Dot and Mabel who took us on a journey back in time to the 1940’s. We re-lived some of the classics of the day including The Andrew Sisters' Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, Vera Lynn’s We’ll Meet Again, songs by Doris Day and many more! It truly was a trip down memory lane for a lot of people who were there on the day.

What an electric show at Options Tavern in Helensvale last night, full of energy and bounce - literally - both on stage and on the dance floor with those present jumping to the sounds of PINK and Lady Gaga.

What an energetic and entertaining show this morning. Paul Hayman certainly knows how to turn it on and what better place to do it than in a close to capacity auditorium known as the Twin Towns Showroom. You know you have a success on your hands when the audience are singing along and clapping their hands reminiscing as the songs of yesteryear are being performed on stage with choreographed dance moves by Kylie Hayman-Wall.

A privilege to again have the opportunity to 'shoot' Paul and his "Not Strictly Ballroom" show. And how lucky is Paul to have his talented wife Kylie on stage dancing with him.

Great dinner show at the Surfers Paradise Golf Club with music provided by The Australian Eagles Show. The group had the full house out of their seats and dancing all night long!

What a great night of nostalgia, was able to sit back and listen to some terrific tunes from the very early 70's from one of my favourite bands, The Eagles. This group were a joy to watch and reminded me of the various compilation tapes I once made all those years ago from my vinyl records.

Around 1800 people at last night's fun time party at the Pan Pacific Masters Games here on the Gold Coast were entertained by the incomparable sounds of Lisa Hunt. From the first song, Lisa had the audience captivated by her voice and she certainly got them involved both on the dance floor and on stage with her. Great night had by all.
