Taking me back to the 60's and 70's, these guys brought back to life the sounds I grew up with. How good was it hearing songs from The Stones, Beatles, CCR, Dobie Gray, CSNY, Eric Clapton, Sir Bob, Pink Floyd just to name a few.

And seeing all the people who turned up 'in character' for the show was something you had to see to believe.

Great night, great music. Will definitely be catching these guys again when they are next in town.

Once again The Eagels Band showed why they are so popular playing to a SOLD OUT show at RSL Club Southport. Their harmonies and musicianship on stage had the full house on their feet singing and dancing along to songs of yesteryear, songs that have stood the test of time.

It was great watching these guys on stage interact not just with the audience but with each other and boy, did they have fun on stage as can be seen in many of the photos.

On a personal note, there was no better way for me to spend the 10th anniversary of a massive heart attack - discovering live music here on the Gold Coast and rediscovering photography during my recovery process are two things that helped me after that life changing event.

Terrific evening listening to hits made famous by the legendary Stevie Nicks being performed by Lisa West and her band. Cabarita Beach Sports Club might be a small club but Lisa and the guys had the audience up and out of their seats dancing and singing along so some of the greatest tunes of our time. Look forward to catching this show again soon.

Thoroughly enjoyable night of music with a terrific sound and a fantastic light show in the Twin Towns Showroom. The audience had a great time hearing many of songs made popular over the years by Fleetwood Mac.

Great show last night with The Beatlegs at CSI Club Southport. These guys are the real deal, full of life and laughter on stage - and they had the full house on the dance floor from the first strum of the first song.

Listening to songs like "Hey Jude" and "She Loves You, Yea, Yea Yea" was great but the standout song for me again was "A Day In The Life".

This was the third time I have seen this group in the past three years and definitely look forward to seeing them again when next they are in town.

So lucky to have some of the best tribute bands in Australia perform here on the Gold Coast where we live. Last night we got to see The Eagels Band again and they showed once again why they continue to be so popular with their harmonies and musicianship on stage. From the first song they had the full house on their feet singing and dancing along to songs of yesteryear, songs that have stood the test of time.

A great show celebrating one of Australia's greatest if not greatest Rock and Roll bands ever - AC/DC. Over two hours of NON STOP music and action on stage, an incredibly powerful show - and LOUD!

Playing once again to a full house of over 500 people, the Rumours Fleetwood Mac Experience Show had everyone bopping along to the tunes made famous by Fleetwood Mac over the years including Rhiannon, Sara, Tusk to name a few.

People were dancing in front of the stage, in the aisles and at the back of the auditorium - it is no wonder this show keeps getting rave reviews and is back each year - they are very popular.

A great show full of energy and again a show that brought back memories of our younger days through music we grew up with.

If they come your way well worth the effort of seeing them.

Another SOLD OUT/STANDING ROOM ONLY show last Saturday night at RSL Club Southport. Was great catching up with Nick Waters in a solo show on Sunday afternoon at Advancetown Hotel. Great session of songs I grew up with from the late 60's and 70's.

Nick is a terrific musician and showed everyone just how good he is playing both acoustic and electric guitar.

Put Nick down in your diary for when he comes your way either in a solo act or with his well known band, Captain WOW band.

Saturday night saw me down the road at Nerang Bowls Club to see The Dynamics featuring Izzy (Isobel Hall) and Wazza (Warren Thomas). This was the second time this year I have seen them and most certainly was not disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyable night of music, great vocals, fine guitarmanship (is there such a word? well there is now!). Covering Aus Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Modern Rock, was really fun, bopping along to tunes I had grown up with and even singing along - sorry for mucking up some of the lyrics.

BUT, the extra special bonus last night was when Jonathan Everett-Jones took to the stage and joined in on some tunes with his legendary harp playing - the same Jonathan Everett-Jones who in years gone by played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Joe Cocker, Alexis Korner and Supertramp amongst others.

Photos taken with a Sony a6000 and Sony 18-105mm F4 G lens.

Great show with The Soul Men at the VIVA Surfers Paradise festival. These guys brought the Blues Brothers Tribute show to the Gold Coast and had the 500+ crowd singing and bopping along to the songs of that great movie and had the crowd begging for more - two hours of total entertainment. Well done Jake and Elwood.

Photos from Saturday night's sold out Echoes of Pink Floyd show at Palms at Crown Casino in Melbourne where 800 patrons were treated to some of the best music and lighting you could ever hope to hear and see.

Very fortunate indeed to once again have the opportunity to see these guys bring to the stage the music of Pink Floyd.

When I heard earlier in the year that this show was coming to the Gold Coast I knew I had to see it. And James G Brennan, as the Boss, didn't disappoint. Been a Springsteen devotee for as long as I can remember and the band on Saturday night did full justice to what Bruce and his E String Band have brought us over the years.

Featuring James G Brennan Peter Ferguson Luke Williams Ash Higgins Jason Chandler & Adam Owens on the mighty sax!

My particular favourites were "The River" and "Jungleland", who can say NO to a bit of SAX and we got plenty of it in Saturday night's show. Will definitely catch James and his "Boss Experience" when they are next on the Gold Coast.

Went down to see Paul Hayman present his '50 Years of Legends' show and boy, what a show this is - great songs from yesteryear performed by a great singer who is more than ably supported by Kylie Wall with some astounding dance moves. The audience of 600+ were well and truly entertained listening to Paul's great voice recreate the music of Bill Hayley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Dean Martin, Johnny Cash and Sammy Davis Jnr to name but a few.

I had a really lazy day today weather was a bit glum so didn't get out to take a photo. However tonight I went to see this tribute show which was excellent. I didn't take the photo as I'm in it but I did play with the editing so feel its my image. Hope that still counts for a photo a day.
