Here are a bunch of pics my wife Evelyn took Saturday night at Greg Andrew's "The Elton John Experience" show.

It's great having Evelyn shooting in the larger auditoriums, she is able to shoot from the back of the hall and get angles I am unable to cover when I am up front and close to the stage so this way we can cover most aspects on the night.

Great show last night with The Beatlegs at CSI Club Southport. These guys are the real deal, full of life and laughter on stage - and they had the full house on the dance floor from the first strum of the first song.

Listening to songs like "Hey Jude" and "She Loves You, Yea, Yea Yea" was great but the standout song for me again was "A Day In The Life".

This was the third time I have seen this group in the past three years and definitely look forward to seeing them again when next they are in town.

Terrific evening listening to hits made famous by the legendary Stevie Nicks being performed by Lisa West and her band. Cabarita Beach Sports Club might be a small club but Lisa and the guys had the audience up and out of their seats dancing and singing along so some of the greatest tunes of our time. Look forward to catching this show again soon.

What an incredible afternoon of live music at Nerang RSL with the incomparable Mental As Anything rocking the house of over 500+ punters. First saw this group back in 1976 in Sydney when I was completing my BA Dip Ed - and boy, did I get an education from these guys back then! And today, 43 years later, I was up there with the best of them moving to hypnotic sounds of Greedy Smith and his great band.

Opening for the Mentals was Gold Coast local Nick Waters who most certainly got the huge crowd into the mood for when Mental As Anything took to the stage.

"A popular urban myth concerns a group of art students who passed themselves off as a band in order to con the local publican into giving them a gig in exchange for free beer. The deception worked better than intended, and the group came to be known as Mental as Anything. Nearly two decades later, they are still irritating the public with their highly listenable, idiosyncratic brand of garage pop. A self-explanatory single to reflect their success, The Nips Are Getting Bigger, rose through the charts as did their fundamental understanding of the old adage that 'for every action there is a reaction'. Ahead lay a very lengthy pub crawl which only the accomplished could survive."

A big shout out to Nerang RSL for a truly memorable afternoon of live music on the Gold Coast.

Some photos from Thursday night's fun time party at the Pan Pacific Masters Games here on the Gold Coast where the Hot Potato Band provided the entertainment. I first saw these guys in early 2016 at Surfers Live and was impressed then but last night I was totally blown away by their sound and performance - they were fantastic. And they know how to involve the audience and make them part of the show.

"Although difficult to describe their genre, HPB continues to compile their arsenal of songs inspired by Pop, Funk, Ska, Reggae and bound by the classic sounds of New Orleans brass bands.

The bands unique sound is built on the backs of three drummers and a sousaphone, along with an array of horns covering catchy chorus lines and providing a layered harmonic cloud for Ben (vocalist) to float above. They are a band never to shy from a good time."

Now this show took me back to my surfing days at Bondi Beach and the music I grew up with. Great show put on by The Beach Boyz at South Tweed Sports Club. The first strum on the guitar had hardly been struck and the dance floor in front of the stage was full - and they were doing the twist, mashed potato, the swim, the monkey, the watusi to name just some of the old dance moves on display.

Great night, highly recommend, will certainly catch these guys again in the not too distant future

What a night listening to Tim Gaze and The Echoes playing the music of Eric "Slowhand" Clapton at Club Burleigh. This was simple music, stripped back music, no fancy costume changes - this was the way Blues and Rock are meant to be played, au naturale - raw and plain. And boy did those of us present get treated to some great guitar playing by one of the best in the business, ably backed by some great musicians. For someone who grew up with the music of The Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominoes it was so Wonderful Tonight! Slowhand - The Music Of Eric Clapton performed by Tim Gaze

What an electric show at Options Tavern in Helensvale last night, full of energy and bounce - literally - both on stage and on the dance floor with those present jumping to the sounds of PINK and Lady Gaga.

Terrific representations of arguably two of this generation's leading female artists portrayed by Kim Boath (PINK) and Emily Johnson (Gaga) - highly recommend this show!

Look forward to one day 'shooting' this show on a big stage.

Saturday night saw my wife and I hop on down to Surfers Paradise RSL to catch "The Dynamics" featuring Izzy (Isobel Hall) and Wazza (Warren Thomas). Was great being able to catch them performing in a club that actually had lighting which really made a difference when it came to taking photos - I counted ten spots.

Thoroughly enjoyable night of music, great vocals, fine guitarmanship (is there such a word? well there is now!). Covering Aus Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Modern Rock, was really fun, bopping along to tunes we had grown up with.

A bonus on the night was when Jonathan Everett-Jones took to the stage and joined in on some tunes with his legendary harp playing - the same Jonathan Everett-Jones who in years gone by played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Alexis Korner and Supertramp amongst others including Joe Cocker and his Grease Band back in the 60's.

Photos taken with a Sony a6300 and Sony 18-105mm F4 G lens.

Fun night of music, fun and laughter at the "Tom Jones & The Divas Show". How good was it listening to the great music of Tom Jones and his friends Liza Minelli, Dusty Springfield Shania Twain and Tina Turner as presented by Joey Ace and Susie Jay. A show not to be missed when it comes to your part of town.

Went down to South Tweed Sports club to see Wayne Vitale in his new "The David Bowie Show". Supported by the musicians from The Killer Queen band, Wayne was smoking hot with his performance, and he had the audience dancing along in front of the stage - would be fair to say the crowd took the hint when Wayne played the song "Let's Dance".

This was a terrific show and Wayne did a superb job as Bowie.

Rebecca O'Connor as Tina Turner is SIMPLY THE BEST. There are not enough superlatives to describe this show. If Tina Turner had a twin sister her name would be Rebecca O'Connor.

This was a show that had everything - great music, lots of energy, full-on audience participation - BUT, if you didn't know better you would have thought you were watching Tina Turner on stage.

Endorsed by both Tina Turner and Mick Fleetwood, you very quickly understand why this is so the moment Rebecca takes the stage.

Playing once again to a full house of over 500 people, the Rumours Fleetwood Mac Experience Show had everyone bopping along to the tunes made famous by Fleetwood Mac over the years including Rhiannon, Sara, Tusk to name a few.

People were dancing in front of the stage, in the aisles and at the back of the auditorium - it is no wonder this show keeps getting rave reviews and is back each year - they are very popular.

A great show full of energy and again a show that brought back memories of our younger days through music we grew up with.

If they come your way well worth the effort of seeing them.

What an energetic and entertaining show this morning. Paul Hayman certainly knows how to turn it on and what better place to do it than in a close to capacity auditorium known as the Twin Towns Showroom. You know you have a success on your hands when the audience are singing along and clapping their hands reminiscing as the songs of yesteryear are being performed on stage with choreographed dance moves by Kylie Hayman-Wall.

A privilege to again have the opportunity to 'shoot' Paul and his "Not Strictly Ballroom" show. And how lucky is Paul to have his talented wife Kylie on stage dancing with him.

Well that was a show with Sir Mick strutting and pouting on stage while Keefy was doing the splits and all sorts of acrobatics - great show, great music and great memories of tunes I grew up with in the 60's and 70's. So many great songs from all those years ago with my particular favourite being "Sympathy for the Devil". Catch these guys when they come your way, you won't be sorry.

Another great night of Australian music by some of the best talent in Australia brought to you from the people at Made in Australia.

The evening featured three hours of iconic sounds made famous by Peter Garrett, Chrissy Amphlett and "Doc" Neeson.

Saturday night saw me down the road at Nerang Bowls Club to see The Dynamics featuring Izzy (Isobel Hall) and Wazza (Warren Thomas). This was the second time this year I have seen them and most certainly was not disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyable night of music, great vocals, fine guitarmanship (is there such a word? well there is now!). Covering Aus Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Modern Rock, was really fun, bopping along to tunes I had grown up with and even singing along - sorry for mucking up some of the lyrics.

BUT, the extra special bonus last night was when Jonathan Everett-Jones took to the stage and joined in on some tunes with his legendary harp playing - the same Jonathan Everett-Jones who in years gone by played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Joe Cocker, Alexis Korner and Supertramp amongst others.

An outstanding show last night with RIA performing A Tribute to the Music of Celine Dion - a must see show structured on the same song selection as Celine Dion’s Las Vegas show, which has left audiences breathless after every performance and has made Celine the highest paid artist in Las Vegas.

Went down to see Paul Hayman present his '50 Years of Legends' show and boy, what a show this is - great songs from yesteryear performed by a great singer who is more than ably supported by Kylie Wall with some astounding dance moves. The audience of 600+ were well and truly entertained listening to Paul's great voice recreate the music of Bill Hayley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Dean Martin, Johnny Cash and Sammy Davis Jnr to name but a few.
