while it looks like one reflection, it's actually a reflection off the water combined with a shadow on the algae.

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke
My wife and I met family in Virginia for vacation. Behind the farmhouse where my mother in law was staying is Wolf Creek. I had just gotten down to the creek to take pictures. I was starting to feel a few raindrops and had to stop long before I wanted to stop. I was able to capture a handful of autumn foliage shots down by the water before it rained.

"After the leaves have fallen, we return
To a plain sense of things....
It is difficult even to choose the adjective
For this blank cold, this sadness without cause..."

White-faced saki monkeys live in tropical rainforests in southern and eastern Venezuela as well as the Guianas and in northeastern Brazil. They prefer forests with fruit trees and easy access to water.
White-faced sakis are 3 to 3 ½ pound monkeys that spend most of their time in the trees. They move on all fours, but because their legs are much longer than their arms, they often run on their back legs along horizontal branches. They have earned the name "flying monkeys" because they can leap up to 30 feet between tree branches. They overnight in larger trees with lots of foliage, where they sleep coiled up on open branches.
White-faced saki monkeys are sexually dimorphic—males look different from females. Males are solid glossy black with a white face and a black snout. Females are brown overall, with a black face and white stripes along their nose. Newborns are the color of females.
White-faced saki monkeys are not endangered, but they are hunted for food, captured for the pet trade and suffer from habitat destruction. In the wild, white-face saki monkeys live about 15 years.
My wife and I took a walk at dusk this evening. There was still enough sunlight to capture a few silhouette shots.

After a severe thunderstorm went through we had an interesting sky. After the rain my wife and our dog were outside. I was inside and she sent me a text that there was a rainbow. The sky opposite the rainbow was a bright yellow sky. I snapped this picture after the storm.
I was a "Sunday driver" today. A spectacular day for a drive looking for fall foliage through the lakes region. It's not close to peak here yet but I found some vibrant colors for sure. I love this great state of Maine!!
I joined the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo walk in Windsor again this year. I decided to give my Nikkor 105mm and Sigma 35mm a workout. The rain held off and it was great catching up with old friends and meeting new photog friends. Thanks to Ted Kloske for organizing again! Great fun!
