There are times I find myself admiring a plant and realize a small drama played out on the fern frond. It seems that two insects will forever be linked to this dried artifact in the silk of the spider's web.

Dusk is fast approaching on this trip to Findhorn beach where Winter has reached this part of the Moray Firth.
Difficult to say how this happens but not unusual. Flies appear to be unable to reverse out of this situation either becoming intoxicated from the nectar or simply held in this position unable to get out ?
We are never going to have spring it seems. Last night when I took the dog out for a walk there was a fresh layer of snow on the ground, on the 8th of April! I know that spring and summer follow winter but still I am desperate for the warm weather to arrive soon.

I got outside for a bit today and managed to do some actual garden work. chomping.
followed by a little cleaning inside.
I am better, but I still don't know what it is I have/had.
I'm trying to be careful and spend a lot of time mending dog beds. which they tear up asap, giving me lots of sewing work.
