I thought I would stay in today and experiment with some lighting. I swiped, I mean aquired, some plexiglass from the college (it's good to be an art student!) so that I could get some reflection. This was a simple setup; plexi as the base, white foamboard as the back, and one strobe.

<i>Processed in LR. I did some extensive processing in LR and Photoshop. Please visit thephotogformula.com for more information.<i>

Textured glass plate with translucent and transparent sections.

The same balloon as before. This was right before it was about to lift off.

This balloon was so easy to photograph. I guess because it was so photogenic.

Gorgeous clear green eyes which seem to be one of the distinguishing characteristics of the genus Lyssomanes. Found during a night hike in Manu national park, Peruvian Amazon lowlands.

- Bought early this year and used only for two months, in good condition (no scratches or cracks)

- Pick-up is available at the UPC/USC or in Pasadena.

Taken in my woods, Etowah County, Alabama. UPDATE - A google search indicates the this may be Tremella fuciformis, also know as snow fungus, white jelly fungus, or silver ear fungus. It is apparently parasitic on other fungus and perhaps the orange one seen growing with it, is its host.
