Hendricks and tonic with a slice of cucumber. I had a few of these with the gang after the photowalk! :-)

week 16/52 was product lighting.

I couldn't think what to do so decided to use my mans Chrissy present that I so so luved!!

placed it into a translucent storage box with reading lamp above and reading lamp in front. I did try and dilute the front lamp light with some bubble wrap to soften it a tad.

HAd to work fast as i didn't want the wrap to start melting!! lol . . ;)

Honesty seed-pods. I think it's called honesty because it's transparent. People seem to be quite keen on this: it's just climbed to the top of my interestingness ladder, so thanks everyone!

It was a breezy day so I can't believe that this turned out so well - nature in close up is so beautiful and I sometimes don't think we appreciate just how much beauty there is right under our noses

Polygala fruticosa, strauchige Kreuzblume.

actually they are narcissus, not daffodils! what I wanted was to capture the translucent qualities of the blooms.

A continuation of the translucents project.

You can't quite remember what you wore to the big smash last year. Everything else about that night is crystal clear, but the outfit is kinda a cloudy memory. Well no fear! This year wear this stunning necklace so that no one, not even you, can forget how gorgeous you looked.

Made with delicate, transluent beads in snow jade, swarovski crystals, and silver seed beads. Silver plated findings.

The necklace is about 20 inches from tip of clasp to the end of the extender chain. Pendant is permanently attached and is 1 inch wide. Pendant sits about .5 inches high for a more striking 3D effect.

These guys are minute - compare the size of the sand grains it is standing on! I once in a while find them in the sand, next to large burrows which must be dug by a much larger animal, possibly a crab.

Being more of a fish nerd myself, I would appreciate help in IDing this guy.

I still am editing photos from my bluebonnet trip. I don't have that many photos, but I just haven't had the time to do anything other than work, eat and sleep. But every once in a while, when I desperately need a break, I open Lightroom and post my results!

Best on black.

I can't figure out how to scan this series...so I may take a picture of the 4 cards before I send them off.

This is a functional ATC. It stands up (it's like the science fair display boards...except it's 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"). You can light a tealight behind it and then you'll have a little illuminated light/lantern.

The main part of this card is above - it's the standard size. I cut out the middle and replaced it with a translucent wax paper. Then, I placed a black sticker on another sheet of the wax paper and affixed that to the first piece of paper (so the image is in between the wax paper).

There are 2 side panels on this card so it can stand up (they fold behind the card so it can fit in an ATC sleeve). Each side is 2 1/4" wide by 3 1/2" tall.

This card was traded on August 18, 2008, to Spiced Coffee.

Interesting venation patterns. Found during a night hike in Manu national park, Peruvian Amazon lowlands.
