The damp eucalyptus bark looked great, the vibrant colours intensified by the afternoon light, however I thought it needed some post processing to make a more interesting photograph.... particularly to accentuate the luminosity and give it a porcelain quality..

I'd been looking at the patterns on these windows for some weeks while teaching an evening class. I finally got a chance to photograph them. (066)

The interesting thing about this specimen is that if you shine light through the crystals edgewise, their color is a deep amber.

Honesty seed-pods. I think it's called honesty because it's transparent. People seem to be quite keen on this: it's just climbed to the top of my interestingness ladder, so thanks everyone!

It was a breezy day so I can't believe that this turned out so well - nature in close up is so beautiful and I sometimes don't think we appreciate just how much beauty there is right under our noses
