VNW32428 (LK04 HYH) curtailed to Harrow Road Elgin Avenue.
Even with an increased PVR and frequency for the carnival, both buses are still not even at full passenger capacity, but full space capacity.

Tower Transit route 70: Acton, High Street - South Kensington Station

Route 70 is operated with 12-reg Alexander Dennis Enviro200 (DML) buses and one 61-reg bus of the same vehicle type, the one pictured, having been transferred from Lea Interchange (LI) for routes 236 and RV1 to Westbourne Park (X) in December.

The Yorkshire Buses revolving door continues to spin with ex Stotts, Oldham (new to First Centrewest and then with a few London operators) BN61MXJ now on the scene.
Taken on the 08/04/2013 on Route 31 at White City.
Today First group PLC have announced the sale of 8 London Depots. 5 to Metroline and 3 to Transit Systems Group, an Australian transport company. Combined they expect to get £80 million.
The bus depots at Alperton, Greenford, Hayes, Uxbridge and Willesden Junction, along with 494 vehicles and approximately 1,700 employees, will transfer to Metroline on completion of the sale for a gross consideration of £57.5m. Metroline is an existing London bus operator and wholly-owned subsidiary of Comfort DelGro Corporation Limited, a Singapore-incorporated transportation company.
The bus depots at Atlas Road, Lea Interchange and Westbourne Park, along with approximately 400 vehicles and 1,500 employees, will transfer to Transit Systems Group, an Australian transport operator, on completion of the sale for a gross consideration of £21.3m. www.transitsystems.com.au/articles/315-australian-public-...
This leaves Dagenham garage which is managed as part of First's London Region, and remain part of First's UK Bus Division and are not included in the sales, First Berkshire is also operated by the First's UK Bus Division.

Metroline are also planning for their part of the take over by forming a new company called Metroline West Limited, which will become a sister company to the existing Metroline operation.
All of the takeover is expected to be completed by the end of June 2013.

Route RV1 is now withdrawn, leaving the side streets of the Embankment without a unique service. Partially replaced by the 381, via the main roads from Waterloo to Tower Bridge.

Tower Transit route 23: Westbourne Park - Liverpool Street Station

Instead of going east to see the last First buses, I had the privilege to ride onboard one of First's still operative old original Plaxton Presidents. Reminiscent of the old days, was this ride on TNL33036. Surprised it was reintroduced into service, but it has still got it.
