Tower Transit route 328: Golders Green Station - Chelsea, World's End
Carlton Vale (MB)
This is something you only see at Westbourne Park (X). A queue of Tower Transit operated Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs pulling up at Carlton Vale (MB). This is probably due to the high frequency of the 31 during the Notting Hill Carnival, hence the two buses behind the main focused bus 328 serving route 31.

Great Western Road (M)
Metroline West gained route 228 after FirstGroup withdrew their London division. This is now a Tower Transit bus. Confused?

First London Fleet No.WSH62991 LK60 HPE, a Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered VDL SB200 with Wright Pulsar 2 B34D bodywork.
WSH62991 is one of 5 Hydrogen Fuel Cell VDL's that were delivered new to First in 2010 (a following 3 more were delivered in 2013) and they were the UK's first permanent hydrogen buses.
In June 2013, First ceased there operations in London.
Route RV1 and all of the hydrogen buses used on it were passed to new London operator Tower Transit (Part of The Transit Systems Group).
It is seen here turning into Lancaster Place, London operating Covent Garden to Tower Gateway Station Route RV1.

Crossing Westbourne Grove onto Chepstow Road.
Was in service. Like TN33185, it is not listed by any fleetlist to be in service ... but is still operating?

Extra vehicles of the Wright Eclipse Gemini bodywork were moved onto route 31, a route already allocated with these vehicles. It required more from routes 28 and 328 to increase PVR and frequency for better transportation. Even the extra buses were packed!

This is scanned from a very faded colour print. The picture is of Toronto Transit Commission PCC car 4395, the picture was taken in June 1971.
I think David was a Post Doctorate student and he was working at the University of Birmingham, he knew of my bosses interest in transport and he kindly gave both of us a set of prints with annotated notes, they have lain in a file box since 1974. I claim no copyright and if David should see these I hope he likes the result.

FJ13 ECC is a Volvo B9R/Caetano Levante C48FLt coach in the fleet of Whippet, Cambridge. It was new to National Express in April 2013, passing to Whippet in January 2017.

I'm such a nerd. I have to confess that these entrances to the subway make me nervous. My heart always starts beating a little faster ... "can I get through that contraption, or can't I?" Don't ask me how I did it, but I tried once on this particular one and didn't push the bars hard enough and then had to go buy another ticket and try again. Sigh. Just not a city girl, for sure. My husband was waiting patiently on the other side.
