Located at the middle of Lake Fewa is the Temple of Barahi. There are two ways to go there. The first way to the temple and back, is to take a boat just as shown in the picture. The second one is to swim fifteen minutes, which is not recommended. The temple is visited by hundreds of devotees each day.

The tranquil waters of the Golfo Nuevo mirror the soft, peach-hued light of an Argentine sunset in Puerto Madryn. Gentle, rhythmic ripples roll toward the shoreline, where the wet sand acts as a reflective canvas for the fading daylight. In the distance, the low-lying silhouette of the town stretches along the horizon, punctuated by the structural presence of large coastal hotels and residential buildings. As evening approaches, the local community gathers along the shoreline to embrace the temperate climate, creating a scene of peaceful movement and communal connection. Audrey Bergner is seen walking gracefully along the tide line, her presence grounding the vastness of the Patagonian coast. Nearby, Daniel Bergner observes the rhythmic ebb and flow of the ocean, captured in a quiet moment of reflection against the expansive backdrop. The lighting transitions beautifully from the warm, golden atmosphere near the horizon to the cool, deep tones of the incoming evening tide. This composition masterfully emphasizes the harmony between the urban landscape and the natural wonder of the South Atlantic coastline. This image is a collaborative production by Samuel Jeffery and Audrey Bergner for Project 23.

Taken while walking to the most tranquil place in England according to CPRE's research, a location in Kielder Forest.
Taken in Locko Park very early this morning. A ten second exposure and two of the ducks stayed almost completely still!
This place is anything but tranquil in the heat of summer, but ten minutes to closing time in mid-April, there wasn't a soul in sight.

I was only able to get up one morning on our trip to take sunrise pictures. Unfortunate rain and arctic blast that sent cold temperatures all the way to Southern Florida didn’t help the situation, especially when I didn’t pack for 30 degree weather.

Alone - reading - running water... this is my tranquil. Before I had babies I used to come down here by the creek and read my Bible when I needed to recenter myself. Now I usually find some closer, quicker way to do it. :)
Whispering tree's, diffuse light, and damp earthy smells - restore the soul, and wash away the glare and asphalt.

This is my photo for our Nature's Beauty theme. It is as the title explains, supposed to emit a feeling of tranquility as there is
the soft looking plants with the small groups of fungi here and there. It's small and simple, but also lets you take a breath and just relax to absorb the image. There's the rule of thirds in this image, along with a small bit of shape contrast as the mushrooms look very unique in comparison to the leafy shrubs. There's a depth of field even though a bit shallow giving the sense of layers in the image. I chose these mushrooms for the feeling of tranquility because normally the harsh sunlight's rays beat upon all the plants who enjoy the large amounts of sunlight, but the small crevice underneath a stone bench lays coolness, peace, and a couple mushrooms.
You owe it to everyone you love (including yourself) to find pockets of tranquility in your busy world.
A local lady enjoying her time reading by the river. I was on the other side of the river exploring the Thien Mu Pagoda.
40 years ago on 7/16/69 Apollo 11 was launched. On 7/20/69 the Eagle lunar module separated from the command module Columbia and landed on the moon. The photo above indicates the approximate location where the landing occured.
