A peaceful but chilly moment on our pond next door. Very rare to have lots of snow, but no wind. Winter was a little slower in arriving here this year, but it is certainly making its presence felt now and the wind is back with a vengeance today!

The serenity of the day, the stillness of the canal.The morning sunshine illuminating the moored boats under the canopy of the trees and casting it's shimmering reflections.
Calm, quiet, tranquil scene captured a few weeks back and Blea Tarn - loved it up there... shared a few pics from there already, however, these ones are edited on my laptop (rather than mobile phone)
It was a photo session where the clouds and the sun kept changing the colours in the landscape - loved it!

Wer schonmal am Hintersee war kommt an diesem Motiv meistens nicht vorbei. Die Ruhe an dem Abend war fantastisch. Am Hintersee ist deutliich weniger los als an dem nah gelegenen Königssee - steht diesem aber an Motiven in nichts nach.

Anyone who has ever been to the Hintersee has probably seen these trees. The tranquility of the evening was fantastic. Around the Hintersee there is clearly less going on than at the nearby Koenigssee, and it’s got a lot to offer in terms of photography.

I often get glorious sunrises from the deck of my Olympic Peninsula home looking east across fog-shrouded Puget Sound to the Cascade mountain range with Mt. Baker towering above the rest.

After spending some time doing long exposures on our one and only morning at the Grundlsee it was already pretty bright and I thought about going back to our room, but luckily I did not. I still walked around and took a few snapshots and as I packed my gear the sun all of a sudden peaked above the mountains. I quickly took my camera out of my bag and decided to take some images without the tripod since setting up the tripod would have taken too long. In hindsight, it would have been nice to take a panorama, but since I didn't expect this to happen I just had a single image which I cropped to 2:1. Anyway, I really like the colors, the sunstar and the cute little duck :) Hope you like it too!
