I took this in Ramsgate, on the south coast of South Africa at about 0600. It was shot on Velvia using a panorama camera and is one of my personal favourites.

No se necesitan muchas palabras para describir Brujas: su solo nombre ya evoca un ambiente mágico, sereno e inolvidable. Un paseo por Brujas es un viaje al pasado, un cuento de hadas hecho realidad.
Las vistas de sus canales, sus edificios históricos y su aire romántico, dejan huella. El casco histórico de Brujas fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en el año 2000.
Un paseo en barca cruzando los canales medievales, es una experiencia muy agradable que recomiendo.

You do not need many words to describe Bruges: his alone name already evokes a magic, serene and unforgettable environment. A walk along Bruges is a trip to the past, a made fairy-tale reality. The sights of his channels, his historical buildings, his romantic air, leave fingerprint. The historical hull of Bruges was declared Heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO in the year 2000.
A walk in boat crossing his medieval channels, it is a very agreeable experience that I recommend.
This photograph was taken during a walk along the river Trent in Nottinghamshire. You can't beat an afternoon wander down a British river during the summer bloom.
The ketch 'Island Roamer' anchored in tranquil waters at Morseby Camp Recreation Site, Morseby Island, Haida Gwaii, BC. I liked how the small ripples in the water added an interesting texture to the reflections in this near monochrome image.
A serene winter scene featuring a cozy wooden cabin nestled by a still, frosty lake. Surrounded by snow-dusted trees and soft morning light, the tranquil setting is enhanced by mist gently rising from the water. This image was taken on perhaps one of the most beautiful walks I've ever done, of course this was in the Pyrenees during our recent trip.
The day started in 20C sunshine and surrounded by Ski furniture, but after 30 mins we'd left the furniture and the sun behind. The clouds moved in, the temperature dropped and the scenery got more and more beautiful. Soon after this image was taken it began to snow, then turning into a blizzard and then the thunder rolled in. The walk had to be curtailed but it's a place I'm determined to return to.
I've skied here too and its hard to imagine just how different the location looks from season to season.
Tonight I went to watch the sun go down at possibly the best location on the south coast for a summer sunset; Bramble Bush Bay.
The waters were calm and there was a sense of peace in the air, a perfect summers evening. The house boats fascinate me; they are available as holiday lets and I'd love to find out how you can rent one!

The morning light is, spreading over the rural scene, with a few cattle in the foreground and some haybales in the centre.
The centre of the scene is approx 1 kilometre distant.

One of the misconceptions about shark diving is that it’s largely an ‘adrenaline junkie’ activity. While I’m sure that’s the case for some divers, I think those people are probably in the minority, based on conversations I’ve had with other divers over the years. For many of us, myself included, there’s a certain tranquility that is experienced when diving among these beautiful animals. Witnessing their silent and graceful movement through the water brings me a level of peace that I rarely experience elsewhere. There’s no dramatic music or fear, just a quiet state of wonder and a healthy amount of respect.
One of my absolute favorite photographs I shot while rafting the Grand Canyon. My trip-mates Kirk and Kim are seen rafting ahead of us beneath a well-timed sunstar which illuminated the canyon wall perfectly. This sight was not uncommon while rafting the Grand Canyon - a truly surreal experience which makes one feel small yet filled with wonder and joy.

Southport is a city in Brunswick County, North Carolina, near the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Its population was listed as 2,351 for the 2000 census. It is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. A popular filming location for television and movies, the small town can be seen in the television shows "Dawson's Creek" and "Spies" and the movies "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Summer Catch," and "A Walk to Remember," among others.
