A clear sky last night and got a chance to do some star trails. Taken just at the back of our house. It would be better if the north pole is seen, unfortunately it is covered by trees. This is my third time to shoot for star trail and still in learning stage
A total of 83 minute exposure. A 1025 x 5 sec @ ISO 1600 with an opening of f3.5. Five seconds exposure was used to avoid over exposed photo since there is a light source from the left side.
Lost in this trail.... mesmerized with its beauty ..it's like a fantasy...inviting me in..
but reality struck...and it dragged me away..
The Alder Seder trail of the Theler Wetlands.
A fresh water wetland. On the east side of the saltwater marsh of the Hood Canal. Sea level wetlands.
The trail follows Dead Horse Creek, with footbridges spanning the creek along the way. The trail is a steep mile-long climb with uneven rocky terrain. Near the top, the trail becomes steeper and even rockier, but handrails help guide visitors to the boardwalk that frames a portion of the lake. Ascends some 1,000 feet (300 m) in elevation for 1.6 miles (2.6 km) from the trailhead to the lake.[1]
A photo (again from last year) taken on the Monsal trail looking down towards Water cum Jolly Dale.
Before the re-opening of the tunnels on the trail this view would not have been accessible.
The red shirt caught the corner of my eye when far off. A friendly biker was happy to be my subject passing by.
Just before sunrise I am able to capture the star trails as the first light adds some great color to the photo. A 1024 second exposure taken at 520am near Salt Creek in Death Valley, California.

The Rainbow Falls Trail departs Gorges State Park to reach the aforementioned falls and several other falls on its way.

A two-hour, 480 image shoot resulted in this star-trail stack, with several Geminid meteors visible. Shoot in suburban Carindale, so heavily light polluted, but the skies were nice and clear.
The trail to Heart-Shaped Waterfall on St Helena Island is the most pleasant forest walk near Jamestown.
The weather is a not that greatat the moment, a storm called Dennis has arrived.
We decided to stay in so no hiking this weekend and time for a few more photos from our roadtrip through Canada.
We went to Western Canada this summer for a roadtrip through Alberta and British Columbia. It has been one of our most special holiday trips ever.
Canada is an amazing country. We did love the many national park and regional parks we visited. Simply said nature in Canada is amazing.
As mentioned a few times before we took some of our analog gear. We traveled with an Canon Eos 1N and a Canon Eos 3
Used the Eos 1N for color film and the Eos 3 for B/W film.
Also decided to take only film that could be developed with the standard C41 process
So that meant the Canon Eos 3 was loaded with Ilford XP2 Super 400
Didn't want to have undeveloped film taken back to the netherlands, so developing these films was done by Ldphotolab in Vancouver on one of the last days before flying back to home.
Stayed a few days in Fernie. The weather was again amazing and perhaps just a little bit to warm.
Went to the Fernie Alpine Resort and followed multiple trails and could enjoy the breathtaking views during our hike
We were not alone this time some squirrels and again some groundhogs did an amazing job in posing for our cameras
Also a pair of Red-tailed hawks did show up, but were still a bit to far away to get decent photos even with our 600mm lens

The fall rut is about over, but occasionally one of the bucks gets a sniff of estrus and is on the trail again.
Our beautiful world, pass it on.
At last an attempt that worked - A clear sky (very rare in UK lately), some spare time and a fully charged battery!
