The second in my Peak Hill Trilogy.
Taken just below the the hill is this cairn and views over Burrator Reservoir.
Because of the interest in the sky showed less of the landscape in this image.
In the distance can be seen Plymouth and the Sound.
Thank you for viewing and any comments.
Went out to Dove Mountain, Arizona with my friend capture star trials and then some clouds rolled in after about an hour of shooting so I just used the pictures without clouds and this is the result!

This is the path along the Bronx River, just below the man-made waterfall, built to power the old Goldman Stone Mill down stream, and right before the Hester Bridge, a camel back stone arch bridge, in the Thain Family Forest, a 50 acre old-growth forest with ancient trails, part of the New York Botanical Garden. The trail left behind long ago by a slimy snail. The angle of the sun was catching this dried up slime at such an angle as to reveal an incredible range of hidden colours. My eye was very fortunate to pick up on some of these colours in the corner of my eye and compose a truly unique shot. Art by Snail.....who knew.
Trails that naturally succumb into your subcouncious logic, opening the new horizons for one's mind. Only far away from masses of people and their greedy egos one can find it's true self and freedom within it.

"Campanula poscharskyana", the Serbian bellflower or trailing bellflower, is a semi-evergreen trailing perennial, valued for its lavender-blue star-shaped flowers. It is native to the Dinaric Alps in former Yugoslavia.
Flowers are lavender-blue and bloom from mid-spring to early autumn. The leaves are edible year round, and can be put in salads.
Between Basin Lake and Heart Lake, much of the Heart Lake Trail goes through a forest with poor views. However, it's lovely country when it opens up.
To me, this terrain is classic Yellowstone. If you stay on the roads, however, you won't see much of it.
A trail goes through some old trees, appealing to the lenses. Weird coloring, this winter has to offer. Frozen air on the ground, green tree bark not so frozen. Still makes an interesting contrast.

190 frames stacked in StarStax | Manual Mode | ISO 1250 | f/3.5 | 30 seconds each | 18 mm | 360 ppi | 9.1 x 13.7in | Digital Photography Composite
I went out camping with a few friends at Lake Pleasant and set up my camera for a nice little star trail. All photos were stacked in StarStax. I then did some heavy editing in Photoshop to individually remove planes flying through the frame. I also had to edit out a series of frames where a nearby car turned around and shined right at the camera, nearly cutting the entire shot short. Overall, I absolutely love this picture! Enjoy
