This is what a GPS vehicle tracker looks like. It gets buried in the vehicle and when activated, will alert you with its location via various means when prompted, or if the vehicle is moved without permission.

From the K Street crossing of the Sacramento Southern, one can view many things happening. The A.T.&S.F. 2925 that is getting repainted now sits on the spur track behind the oil tanker. Meanwhile the Sacramento Southern Tourist Train loads up on Track 1 for another run.

Driving the Strzelecki Track across the central desert land of Australia, the dunes lit up with the setting sun. An interesting unforgiving landscape, the tracks indicative of life in this harsh interior. A journey I would never attempt in Summer.

The track and athletic field at historic Cardozo High School in Columbia Heights, DC, was open the other day, but all I had was my iPhone. What a gorgeous facility; too bad I didn't have a wide-angle lens on me. Also, I was in a rush to meet someone for breakfast so didn't think to shoot a panorama. Duh.

My eldest competed in his school track meet today, running in the 100m dash and in the anchor position of the 4x100 relay. They didn't win, but he was awfully proud of himself. I was, too!
