It was a hazy day, we were in the midst of experiencing a lot of smoke from the unfortunate fires that Canada was experiencing 😥 (Thoughts still with them)

Railroad tracks in Stutsman County, North Dakota.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit.
The stubble was left in the field and the tracks were visible where the farm vehicle had driven up and down the field.
This line runs from Missoula, Montana south through the Bitterroot Valley, through ranch land and over the Bitterroot River.

chose b/w over colour as I considered it contrasted better.

I can never resist the simple composition of tracks taken with a wide angle. This was taken the day before we got a pretty good dump of snow. I will try to go back and reshoot with more snow cover. I expect it will look quite different.
I kept the camera close to level so as to not have leaning verticals, so of course there was much more sky in the shot, and although I do really like it with all of the extra sky, I like this version as well, and decided to go with it and the extra resolution that it would allow in the tracks.
Tomorrow, an intermission and something COMPLETELY different.
