Looking east, this is where a dual-set of signals once stood. These ones were presumably faced west for coming eastbounds, probably for warrants over the Fox River bridge.

Tyre track left on the beach at Seaton Carew, Teesside, England, by a sea coal wagon. Coal waste from the, now closed, mines on the east Durham coast, still washes up on the beach and is collected and sold for fuel, though not in the quantities it once was.

Tracks are now being built in the area south of the Kimball station.
The old tracks were demolished, ballast removed, ducts dug up, and now new underground electrical components and lower ballast are in.
Service to Kimball is set to resume early Monday morning after the 9-day closure to make this work possible.
this shot was taken with a kodak instamatic x-15 that i rigged to shoot 35mm half-frame images. i got around 50 shots from my 24 exp. roll. a bit more light leaks than i imagined considering how well i taped the camera door.....but an experiment is an experiment.
These images were captured with the A6400 in AF Tracking mode and demonstrate the tenacity of the AF tracking when obstacles appear in front of the primary target.

At Kedzie, Train Tracker signs show scheduled terminal departure times as terminal operation here is underway.
Brown Line trains operate only as far north as Kedzie for major track improvement work on the tracks that lead into the Kimball terminal from July 13-22, 2013.
